There are a whole bunch of Instant Messengers and each has its own features. Like on AIM that has AIMTalk(Just like Voice-over-IP) and You can store you picutres on it. With Trillian you can talk to AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo!. Not all messengers can talk with eachother so if you and your friends are getting on for the first time check out our messaging pages that tells you about each messenger. MSN has a sweet look to it and is a nice one to use. ICQ can talk with AIM but you have to use your ICQ #. You should see what IM your friends or the people you will be talking to are on before you choose one. Check out whitch ones can talk with eachother here. |

Trillian can talk with AIM, ICQ, Yahoo!, and MSN like I said earlier and it has a cool and skinnable interface. If your buddies are on different networks or you just don't like the messenger they use, then use this. If you buy Pro($25) then you can use Video Chat with your friends too. With Basic you can just use Voice-over-IP, except with AIM.
Yahoo is a fun one to use because it has a radio built into it and Stealth Settings. With Stealth Settings you can choose who you want to let know that you are on. It also has Voice-over-IP and Video Chat.
ICQ is like AIM with a sweet interface. It has a games chooser and two versions you can get depending on what you want. This also has Voice-over-IP and Video chat.
MSN is the 2nd most used messenger. It has cool features and is skinnable. You also have tabs to give you the info you want without going to the website for it. It is kinda big though. This also supports Video and Voice-over-IP.
AIM is the current leader in instant messaging, with compatability with ICQ it can talk to bunches of people. It has a games chooser and Busness tools that you can have on the side of your buddy list. It supports Video Chat. |
