-He was given the Lord of the Rings book by his father when he was 15, who said: 'I'll give you six months to read it' - Dominic read it in two.
-During the filming for 'LOTR' he wore a fat suit made of foam & had to drink 3 liters of water a day so he would not dehydrate.
-He kept a pair of the latex Hobbit feet used in 'LOTR'.
-Dom has a talent for doing different accents and impersonations.
-Says he would un-invent broccoli
-Apparently, Dom is a good cook. When asked what he would whip up for friends on short notice, he said: 'I would do roasted ratatouille with a chorizo tomato sauce, saffron rice, ciabatta bread cooked with garlic and olive oil and parsnips cooked in parmesan cheese.'
-Dominic auditioned for Hetty Wainthropp three times in four weeks before finally getting the part.
-He speaks fluent German.
-He has a very keen fashion sense that is very hard to find in most guys.
-Things Dom has done: horseriding, scuba diving, surfing, kayaking, swordfighting, snowboarding, shotover jet, fly by wire, djaying in bars, karaoke, eating crazy food, and the biggest bungy jump in New Zealand (the Nevis in Queenstown, 400ft.!).

-One of Dom's jobs when he was younger was as a mail sorter, and even a stock boy, and a saute chef too!
-Dominic and Elijah Wood both peed on a fountain in New Zealand, much to the disapointment of Peter Jackson! It has been suggested that they were drunk.
-Dom doesn't smoke, but he was required do smoke a pipe during the filming of Lord of the Rings, and he had to drink a glass of milk so he wouldn't throw up.
-Dominic says he'd love to be in a movie directed by Tarantino, and would do it for free!
-Dom had to choose between his girlfriend and filming 'LOTR'. (we all know what he chose, ouch!)
-If you look at pics of Dom from the premieres, you'll see that he always wears a ring on a chain around his neck. Well apparantly it came from Sean Astin's little girl. When she met Dom, she got a huge crush on him and wanted to marry him(who wouldn't!), so she gave him a washer as a ring, and it wouldn't fit on his finger, so he wears it around his neck. (so sweet!)
