CSULB's
KBEACH.org has accommodated 1,600 listeners (This was during a live
sportscast). CSULB campus consists of 33,000 students and there are
73,000 Charter Cable access subscribers in Long Beach and Signal Hill.
--------> We recommend local listeners listen via TV (Charter Channels 65/69/95) to help free
up the bandwidth, we've gotten feedback that the computer server gets
too busy during TPSradio!
KaRi
was inspired to begin TPSradio by one of her four road trips across
the US, when she came across an AM station while waiting for a herd
of cattle to cross the road in the southern tip of Illinois. The station
was reading local funeral listings. TPSRado was founded to spotlight
local unsigned bands, community events and creative businesses, and
the vanishing Mom n' Pops stores in the area. KaRi's intent is to "LOCALIZE
the web" and draw attention to the LONG BEACH area and businesses
while SPOTlighting the Creative Community and those people and organizations
that improve the quality of life.
YOU
Can Help Support TPS Long Beach:
1. Provide sponsorship in exchange for exposure. For example, IGUANA
KELLEY's sponsored ThePrimeSpot Sound Stage during the 2003 "Second
Saturday Artwalks" in the East Village Arts District and is the
currently MONTHLY cell phone sponsor. IGGY's money is also used to fund
print copies made at CopyCo on Bellflower Blvd!
2. Forward TPS eNews/LB Weekly to those who Live, Work and Play in the 562.
3.

to Charter Communications (ProspectorLongBeach.com,
IguanaKelleys.com,

ask your server to flip on Ch 65/69/95!
4. Bands, if we have your CD and your permission to play it, join Myspace.com/TPSRadio, and post your local gigs on Myspace.com/club562 Comment Section. Make "request postcards" like MarinaV.com and RonnyNorth.com and KernRichards.com have! (Note: TPSradio l-o-v-e-s distributing print matter and forwarding
links that exposes TPS to others!).
