Where to be heard and where to hear poetry
Open City Poets meets every Monday from 7pm to 9pm at the Pentucket Arts
Center on Wingate St., Haverhill, Ma. Admission charge of $1.
On Tuesdays there are poetry readings from 7pm to 9pm, free of charge.

Pedro Mir Reading Society, named for the deceased national poet of the
Dominican Republic meets the second
Saturday of every month at 202 Broadway in Lawrence.
The group features readings in several languages, combines with cultural performances. The last reading featured an interpretive dance from the Lawrence Ballet Academy.

Brought to you by the Portsmouth Poet Laureate  Program on the first Wednesday of the month 7-9 p.m. at Zataar (formerly  Just Brew It) on the ground floor of 100 Market St., Portsmouth, N.H.

The  Hoot includes both featured readers and an open reading. Bring your  poem and be ready to read.
