Sashings and borders.

The quilt will be 77" X 88.5"
Sashing(blue) should be cut 1.5" strips. From dark brown cut 1.5" strips.
Inside borders(tan) should be cut 4.5" strips. Outer border (blue) should be cut 2.5" strips.

Sashing directions.
From dark brown, cut 30 squares = 1.5" From blue, cut strips 1.5"X length of fabric. From these you will need to cut 71 = 1.5" X 10.5"(width of your blocks).

Row # 1.
STart with block #2and stitch to one sashing strip. Then stitch on a block #1 on the otherside of the sashing strip.Continue with sashing strips and alternating block til you have use 6 blocks. Ending with block #1.


Row # 2, a sashing row.
Take one sashing strip and stitch a dark brown square at the end. Add another sashing strip and continue until you have used 5 dark brown squares and end with a sashing strip.


Row # 3
Do the same as Row #1 except start with block #1 this time. Make a total of 7 rows with blocks and 6 rows of sashing.

Add the Borders.
Inside borders are made using 4.5" strips. In the picture I used mitered corners but you can use your favorite technique for making borders.
Outside borders are made using 2.5" strips. Again make them using your favorite technique.
And batting, sandwich and quilt. Do the binding and your done!
