Hey dere folks!Hi it's meeh JLaLa!I hope you guys like my story so far.I think this my last part of the story...if it isn't well hope you like this part. Okay someone e-mailed meeh telling me they noticed that one part of my story was similar to the movie SHE'S ALL THAT. Anywayz that scene was adapted from the movie. So puh-leeze don't think I'm stealing it or something!The movie was also an inspiration for this story.I'm not claiming I made that scene up or nothing.Alrighty!:)Okay this is PG-13 so kiddies who under I suggest you leave. ANGEL OF MINE(Part 8) BY:JLaLa Beryl walked through the palace with a smug vindictiveness air surrounding her.She was getting what she had longed for and deserved all her life.Laughing triumphantly she walked into the throne room where a large crowd of people stood to the side.Each watching her with calm faces but hard eyes.Across the room stood Prince Darien ,his mother to his left and his guards to his right.The Princesses and their mothers stood next to Queen Gaia looking at her with severe looks on each face.Beryl was surprised to find Queen Serenity there with them.The woman had been a utter recluse since the dark forces had destroyed her pathetic kingdom. "Ah Queen Serenity",hissed Beryl."It's nice to see climb of the rubble you call a Kingdom" She laughed tossing her head back.They knew if they said anything their pathetic planets were dead.Serenity clenched her fist trying to hold back ramming her fist into Beryl's sneering face. "Lady Beryl",Darien said quietly and she licked her lips.Her Prince was indeed looking quite handsome.He wore a pure dove white tuxedo along with a cape.His strong hands held a staff and his jet black hair glistened."We are all here to discuss what my decision is" "Decision",she said and laughed."This is not a have-to-make-a-decision- kinda thing.This is more like a I'm-gonna-make-the-decision-for-you kinda thing.So your decision is that I'm getting you whether you like it or not.You can't stop me.If you object I blow off your pathetic planet and if you do your loyal subjects will be safe.We'll rule the universe together,now as you were saying..." "My decision is...",Darien said when he stopped to look at her.Actually behind her,a murmur swept through the crowd.Abrubtedly she turned around and saw a face so beautiful unlike her own.A splendor of lady this young one who stood before her was.Beryl's blood boiled in hatred and resentment as she turned to see the glow of love take over the Prince's face.He watched her walked gracefully towards Beryl in a white dress with shimmering marigold ring designs on her bodice.Her heels clicked on the floor in light steps and soon she was face to face with Beryl.Both pairs of eyes locked in combat.Darien regained himself and smiled at the girl."May I present to you Lady Beryl,My WIFE Princess Serenity"He took Serena's hand and a wedding band glinted in the light. Serena took a step and stood next to Darien.She looked at Beryl with anger but also a bit of sympathy.A memory came to her head and the sympathy washed away as suddenly as it had came. "Perhaps you don't remember me",she said."I am called Serena to my friends.Does that ring a bell?Maybe you remember pouring a drink down my dress?" Suddenly Beryl's head snapped up remembering who she was. "You're the little peasant girl!",yelped Beryl.Serena nodded a serious look on her face. "Not so peasant anymore",she said to Beryl."And I'd appreciate if you wouldn't refer to people as peasants.We're all equal.We don't judge people by class but in the quality of our hearts" Beryl glared at her and turned to Darien giving him a cool smile though she was burning with hate. "I assume you answer is no",she said."Expect your planet vapor within a day" With that she turned to walk away,her head high in mock dignity. "Do not think we will not fight you",Serena said and Beryl spun around. "We haven't even begun to get on your case" "I look forward to seeing you squirm Princess",Beryl responded."Before you know it you'll be begging for forgivness so I'll spare your damned universe" "Over my dead body",Serena said angrily.She had never been so angry and she knew inside of herself,she wouldn't give up without a fight. "So be it",Beryl sneered and walked away steaming. ***************************************** Serena and Darien sat together in the meeting room along with their friends and family.Discussing their plans for fighting when they were interupted by an loud explosion.Screams ripped through the air and Darien held his wife to keep her from falling over from the shaking. "What the hell was that?",asked Lita standing up.The sound of the explosion had subsided and was now filled with an eerie silence.A guard burst in,his face filled with fear. "Your majesty,something has happened",he said and a quiver was in voice.He hated to be the bearer of bad news.They shot people for delivering bad news in some parts of the world! "What is it?",Queen Gaia demanded and Serena felt a chill going up her spine.She knew bad news was coming. "The right side of the palace is gone",he said and lowered his head. "There were no survivors from the explosion" Serena's face paled and she stood up.The whole right side of the palace was the servant quarters.Her parents.A feeling of dread filled her. "Oh my God",she whispered and put a hand to her mouth.Quickly she yanked the door pushing the guard out of the way.Running clear across the palace,she stopped when she found herself standing in rumble.Where were they?Were they okay?Martha,a friend of mother came to her in tears."What happened Martha?Where are my parents?" "I'm sorry little one",she said and patted Serena's hand."They didn't make it.That guard over there had me look at their bodies" Serena walked over to where two sheets were draped over a pair of lifeless bodies.The guard looked at her in sympathy as she lifted one sheet and saw a lock of blue hair belonging to her mother.Closing her eyes she looked over to the other where a hand laid lifeless.Serena recgonized the wedding band as her father's.She didn't have to look anymore. "Mom,Dad...",she moaned and sat in the rubble crying.She had just seen them last night.They had told her how proud they were.She remembered their happy,content looks as they watched her get married in her small ceremony.Now they were gone.Sobbing crazily she couldn't seem to move. "Please don't tell me this is true" "Ma'am",said a man and put his hand on her shoulder."We have to carry them out now" She nodded and some guards came to pick up the bodies, to put them with the others.Serena couldn't bear to look,lowering her head she heard a clink that made her snap her head up.Two rings laid in front of her.Their wedding bands.Even in death they were trying to comfort her.The others soon joined her and stared at morbid situation. Darien saw Serena sitting helpless in the rubble holding two small objects.Her eyes fastened to them with a helpless look in her eyes. He knelt before her and put his arm around her.She looked at him,tears falling quickly down her eyes. "I know who did this",she said quietly and he looked at her.Without even trying he knew who she spoke of. "Beryl",he said and she nodded.Serena shakily got up,Darien's arm supporting her.Her eyes narrowing as she looked at the sky. "I know your listening",she yelled at the darkening sky,Serena could feel the evil."You've gone so low,Beryl.To kill innocent people.But you probably knew what you were doing.You want me?!I'm here waiting for your ugly face to show itself!WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!" Beryl appeared with a self satisfied look on her face. "So you've seen what I'm capable of",she said and laughed."Now tommorrow you will truly feel my wrath".Beryl smiled maliciously."I mean if I can do that to simple people than I can't wait to see what I'll do to you" "Don't be so sure of yourself,Beryl",Serena responded angrily. "So you think you can beat me?",she sneered back."How sweet!The little princess thinks she'll can fight me" "You'll just have to wait and see what I can do",Serena answered in a hard voice. "Till then,I'll be expecting you by noon",Beryl said and said good bye to Serena with a mock salute.She disappered and left all of them standing there angered. "I think it's time that I bring what I can into the situation",Serenity said putting a hand to Serena's shoulder."Come along" ******************************************* "On this wand is the Silver Emperium Crystal",Serenity explained placing a crescent moon shape wand with a round crystal on it.Placing gently on the table she looked at Serena with a undoubtedly serious look."This my little one is your only hope to beat her" The other Queens then placed four transformation sticks on the table.Each had a planet's symbol on it."This is for each princess.You now have a power to fight.To become the new Senshi.All of you are now responsible for the life of the Moon Princess.I have faith all of you will live up to your duty" "We won't fail you,My Queen",Mina said and the others nodded their head.Queen Serenity nodded back and walked to Darien who holding Serena's trembling hand.He could pratically feel the fear growing in her.Squeezing her hand Darien smiled reassuringly knowing that his calmness would help her.Serenity watched his gesture towards her. "Darien",she began and looked at him."The love you have for my daughter has formed a bond between you two and by that love you share a power. I give you this one piece of advice:When two fight as one,they are invincible against anything" She took both their hands."Fight strongly but remember what you fight for" "Love",Serena said quietly looking at her mother.Darien kissed the side of her head.She was ready to fight. ******************************************** The day dawned like any other but something eerie was in the air.A foreboding feeling that made everyone feel cold.Serena bolted up from her bed,her head felt heavy.Today was the day.Darien slept beside her and as she looked at him,she remembered why she was fighting.For him. For her family and friend.All those innocent people depended on her. She felt though that she was doing this also for herself.All her life Serena had felt as though she was needed for something.A calling that yearned from within her.Darien roused from his sleep kissing her gently on her neck. "Morning love",he said and she smiled at him but her gazed was focused on the sunrise.The orangy yellow light colored her face and the heat somehow felt comforting to her.Her father after all was Prince of the Sun.Maybe this was his way of assuring her. "Today's the day",she whispered to him and both laid down.Serena placed her head on his chest.Inhaling she could smell his spicy sweet scent. "I'm not afraid",she said to herself like a reassurance. "Don't lie",he said and held her tighter."I can practically feel it". Holding her hand."I know that today will be the hardest thing we'll ever go through.It's alright to be afraid but don't let it get in your way" "Why must you always so much about me",she said and laughed lightly. "We're not like any other couple,you know".The door opened and Queen Gaia stuck her head in. "Rise and Shine",Gaia said."Today we fight,Tommorrow you cuddle" "She's right",Serena agreed and threw the covers back.Darien groaned and Serena threw a pillow at him.Heading towards her armoire a twinge of fear invaded her head.Would there a tommorrow for her? ************************************** The clock ticked loudly as they all waited for it to strike noon.Two minutes...tick....tick....tick...one minute.Serena sucked in her breath and a loud bong was heard from the clock.A cruel sounding laugh was heard from the outside and they all rushed out where Beryl floated in the air.A long staff in her hand and her bright flaming red hair set arrogantly behind her shoulders. "I see the whole group has come out",she sneered."Are you ready?" All of them advanced towards her floating figure when Serena suddenly turned around. "I have to do this alone",she said firmly."At least at first" "No",Darien said and grabbed her shoulders."Are you insane?" "I've never been more sane in my life",Serena responded."If we all fought at the same time than all be to weak to fight later".Taking his hands she looked at him with her big blue eyes."If I could weaken her with the crystal than that would the others a chance to kill her off.I have to do this.It's inevitable" She kissed his hands."Please let me do this" He nodded though he wished he could refuse her. "Serena it's our duty to protect you",Ami said to her and crossed her arms. "Well it's my duty to protect my people",argued Serena."You are part of this Kingdom and it's my responsibility.No arguments" Her eyes swept through her families and friends."I promise if I need help I'll signal you" With that she began to walk away. "How will we know you need help?",Mina yelled and Serena turned around. She looked at Darien and he nodded encouraging her.She winked at him. "Trust me.You'll know when I need help",she said and walked closer to Beryl.She saw the Princess and smiled,a scary glint to her eyes. "Princess,it's nice to see you",Beryl said."But before we start,let me introduce you to some people" Snapping her fingers,a million troops appeared in the sky.All in black armor."You see Serena the longer it takes to kill you.The more they trash your Kingdom.So maybe if you surrender now we won't have to mess this place up" "I wouldn't even think of surrendering to you",She yelled. "It's a shame",said Beryl."I'll have to mess this place up just like I messed up the Moon Kingdom.You father couldn't stop me and I doubt you will" A red flash headed towards Serena but she jumped away from it."Real quick Princess" "I haven't started yet",she said and held her wand out.A ball of light formed and as it got bigger headed towards Beryl.She wasn't going out like that though and Beryl also formed an orb of light pushing it towards Serena.The lights clashed like a sandwich and Beryl could feel heself weakening.Signaling one of her henchmen,he threw a bommerang of light at her.It came towards her slashing her dress and making her skin bleed.The wretching pain weaken her but she sustained though her legs felt as though they were made of dough. "Hey that's not fair!",yelled Lita and ran towards her.Queen Serenity stopped her. "My daughter's not down yet-",she said but a piercing scream interrupted her.As they looked Serena figure wavered on the verge of falling.She had taken a stab to the side of her stomach.Darien groaned feeling her pain and he knew it was time. "She calling for us",he yelled and the others nodded.Running he caught her before she hit the ground.His arm encircle her waist holding her up and he helped hold up the Crescent Moon Wand.A surge of strength made the ball bigger.The senshi each concentrating,their symbol glowing bright on their foreheads.A light sprung forth from each of them going into the ball of light.Beryl panicked face gave them more confidence and they continued to fight.However it seemed as though something was making her stronger.Flashing red lights would hit her making her stronger,bolder.Ami looked around realizing that their surroundings were growing sparse.Trees and plants were dying,animals were dropping ,soldiers and people were on the ground.Putting this together she realized Beryl's source.She was gathering energy from all earth living things. "She's taking people's energy",Ami yelled to the others in anger. "That bitch!",exclaimed Raye whose legs were beginning to waver.In fact all of them seem to going down.Each second a bit of energy was leaving their bodies. "Oh man!",Mina said."What are we gonna do?" Serena eyes were beginning to unfocused and she felt herself drifting away when someone placed their hand on her shoulder.Glancing back she saw her mother who was encouraging giving her power to fight.The other Queens were behind their children with their hands on their child's shoulder.Queen Gaia stood behind Darien and was pushing her son to try harder. "Serena",her mother whispered in her ear."Use the strength in your heart to fight" The other Queens whispered words of encouragement to their children.Serena knew what they had to do. "MERCURY STAR POWER!" "VENUS STAR POWER!" "MARS STAR POWER!" "JUPITER STAR POWER!" "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!" The two generations of royalty were double teaming Beryl.A light shooting forth from their foreheads.The Powers of the Moon,Earth,Venus,Mars,Mercury,and Jupiter going into the ball making it engulf Beryl.Her body twisting and becoming a pile of ashes. She screamed horribly as it engulf her body.The millions of soldiers had disappered and the sky was clear again.Everyone hugged but yelled when Serena crumbled.Before hitting the floor Darien caught her and gathered her into his arms.Carrying her Serena opened her eyes and smiled softly. "Am I dead?",she asked and he laughed. "No,why?",Darien said as they headed towards the palace. "Cause I think I see a angel",Serena said and laughed."Corny,huh? It must have been all that fighting" "Rest now,Darling",he said but before he could get her to sleep he was interupted by a yell from his mother. "MY PALACE!",she screamed looking at the crumbling building she called home."WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!!!" Everyone laughed seeing the Queen freak out at what happened.Something told Darien everything was gonna be alright. ********************************** Two days later.... The stars shone brightly as Serena and Darien looked up at the peaceful environment. "Things are beautiful in the Moon Kingdom",Darien said as he his arms encircled her waist from behind.The whole royal court had decided to stay there for awhile.A well deserved vacation for all of them. "Yeah but the Earth looks great from here",Serena said and Darien kissed her shoulder.Giggling she entwined her hands in his. "So Princess,your future heir to the throne,your smart,your beautiful and you have absolutely everything you'd ever want.What can I possibly give you?",Darien asked and Serena turned around putting her arms around his neck.Giving him a small kiss,Serena gave a sweet smile. "Actually",she said slyly."I wouldn't mine a few kids running around the place" A smile broaden Darien's face and a thoughtful looked came to his eyes. "Hmmm...Another little angel in my life",he mused and looked down at her."I like the idea" "Really?",she said and he nodded."How bout we get started...now?" Darien answered by grabbing her slim body and carrying her.She squealed loudly,kicking her legs back and forth. "As you wish your majesty",he said to her heading to their inside to room.Before going inside Darien kissed Serena lovingly with a deep passion."I love you,Angel Of Mine" With that they went inside. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The end!
