Chapter Seven

"SERENA!' Raye cried.  Serena was
there, smiling.

"Thank you Raye. You brought me back. I
have my dream back. Hanol may have taken
my dream power, but not my dreams. And
you made me realize that." Raye smiled
through her tears. She wrapped her arms
around her. So did Lita, Mina, and Amy.

"We're all just so glad your okay." She smiled.
They all stopped and looked sad. Serena saw
Darien lying on the ground. Her hand flew to
her face. Tears formed in her eyes. She ran to
him, picked him up in her arms, and held
him.  " Darien, Darien, listen to me. I know
you  can hear me. Darien, you can't leave!
You have to know, your dreams can't leave,
not ever. Darien please." He still stared into
nothing. "You have to remember your
dreams, Darien, you have to remember. I'm
here Darien, I'm here." She looked at his eyes.
They returned to normal. Serena gasped with
delight. He blinked, got up, and kneeled
before her. He turned to her.

"Am I... am I imaging this? Are  you really
here? Your not gone?" Serena smiled. He
grabbed her and pulled her into a passionate
kiss. She started to cry tears of joy. He held
her tight. "I was so worried that you were
dead." He told her. She shook her head.

"Never. I could never leave you." He smiled
and held her tighter.

"How touching." They all turned to see Hanol
standing there. "So you found out that I only
take power. Well, I'll just kill you all now."
She held out her hand and blasted them all

with her power. Serena slowly lifted her
head.

"Why Do this, Hanol, WHY?"  Hanol glared.

"SHUT UP! YOUR USLESS! I HAVE WHAT I
WANT! JUST SHUT UP!" she blasted them
again. Lita was mad. She ran at Hanol. Hanol
turned and blasted her. Lita flew back and hit
the platform. She cried out in pain and
crumpled to the ground. The other three
scouts ran at her too, but were easily flung
aside like unwanted toys because they were
not transformed. Serena and Darien were the
only ones left standing. Hanol glared at them.

"Even in oblivion the two love birds find each
other. How very, very touching." She
yawned. "Time to close the storybook."
Serena walked foreword.

"Just leave them all alone! It is my fault that
they all came here. Don't hurt them anymore.
You wanted me and you have me. Now just
leave them alone!" Hanol glared at her. She
lifted her hand and blasted Serena. She flew
backwards and slammed her head down on
the floor with a clunk. Darien ran to her and
held her in his arms. She was unconscious.
He shook her to wake her. Hanol sighed.

"This is what I don't understand. You risk
your life for this girl all the time and yet she
gives you nothing back. WHY!?!"

"You just don't understand, do you? When
you love someone you don't care if you risk
your life to save them or do things totally
wacky for them, you just do. That's what love
is. Compassion, comfort, being there for
them, that's what it is. I love her, and that
will never change. Even if she is klutzy, or
not too good at school, it doesn't matter to
me. I see inside her, and inside there is
nothing but good. Love can never be taken
away, you have to learn that." He clutched
Serena to his chest and slowly rocked her.
She was conscious now. Hanol looked sad
and then Angry.

"I wouldn't know; I've never been loved!"
Serena left Darien's embrace. She stood up
and turned to face her.

"Hanol, why are you so evil?"

"What?"

"There is good in you, I know it, I've seen it.
Why be like this?" Serena saw that there were
tears in Hanol's eyes.

"Because, no one would except me. I am
different. I wanted people to like me, I want
friends! I've lived all alone for all of my life!"
Hanol's tears came faster. "No one wants me,
no one wants to be my friend. So I just gave it
all up. I stopped wanting and took what I
needed."

"We'll be your friends." She looked up.

"After all that I've done to you?" They
nodded.
"I want to be good like you, but... but..."

"Darien?" asked Serena.

"Hmmm?"

"Did you bring my broach?" He smiled. He
took it out of his pocket and tossed it to her.
She held it up in the air.

"Moon Healing POWER!" Hanol was  bathed
in the silver crystals light. All of her evil and
loneliness and pain left her. Once the light
faded, they looked to see her gone.

"Where is she?" they asked. Then they heard
a voice.
"Thank you. Thank you so much. I will
always be here for you." And then the voice
was gone. The blackness disappeared and
they were standing in the park. They saw
something appear in front of them. It was
Hanol. She was total changed. She wore a
simple blue dress.

"Hanol!" she smiled.

"I just came to say good-bye, I will be leaving
this world."

"Where will you go?"  she smiled.

"To where... I belong. Darien...Serena... I
thank you so much. You showed me what is
good and what it means to love. Take care of
each other. You belong together." She then
disappeared. They looked up and saw a
shooting star move across the sky and they
smiled. Darien turned to Serena.

"And for once... I agree." He bent down and
kissed her. And in the present, future, and
beyond time's limits, they did exactly what
Hanol said; they loved.
