Oki dokie. ______________________________________________________________________ [May 11, 1983] Childish, excited giggles echoes throughout the field as a 4-year-old toddler runs speedily across the beautiful meadows. With her arms stretched out like an airplane, she flew through the tall blades of grass, feeling the cool spring breeze and the warmth of the afternoon sun. The only sign of her running through the fields are of her golden streams of hair flowing highly behind her like a yellow haze. In her small hand is a white daisy with its roots and soil still dangling on the end. Her innocent laughter continues as she persists her chase. "Ma-mo-ru!" giggles Usagi, "Slow do-own!" "Haha!" came Mamoru's young voice, "You'll havta catch me first!" A mix of a boy and a girl's innocent laughter stretches across the countryside as two pairs of maternal eyes watches them. Wearing straw hats, the wind blows through, rustling the leaves and blowing their hair. "Haha. so what do you think of those two huh?" chuckles Ikuko as she takes a sip of her ice-cold lemonade. "Ahh Ikuko-chan. thinking a bit into the future are we? Come on.. she's only 4 and he's only 7!" said Megumi with her dark purple eyes full of happiness and love. "Just look at them! They're so cute together! Ahh. they look just like those old fairy tales. the dark, handsome prince and the beautiful, blonde princess. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they fell in love?" said Ikuko dreamily. "Haha.. always the dreamer eh?" said Megumi. But under her straw hat, she smiled. [December 24, 1987] "OoO! Mamoru-chan! What did ya get me?!!!!" cried Usagi, as she dodged towards the front door as soon as Mamoru steps into her living room with his parents right behind him. "Geez Usagi-chan, gimme some room here! You're gonna get snow all over ya if you don't let me hang up my coat!" "Come on, come on! Where is it?!?!??!" cried Usagi as she jumps up and down with anticipation and excitement. "Usagi! Let them sit down and you can open your presents after dinner!" yelled Ikuko from the kitchen. Usagi stopped jumping and let the Chiba's sit on their soft living room couch but still carefully eyeing the shopping bag that Chiba Megumi was holding in her gloved hand. Megumi smiled at the young girl that she has known her whole life. She winked and silently reached into the shopping bag and came out with a present. "Here you go Usagi-chan! Go have fun with Mamoru!" whispered Megumi as she gave Usagi a warm smile. Usagi's eyes lit up with excitement as she slowly reached for the present and excitedly ripped it open. "Wow! Sailor-V's new video game! Arigatou Chiba-san! Merry Christmas!" said Usagi as she held the present in one hand and hugged the woman who was like a second mother to her. "Come on Mamoru-chan! Let's play!" cried Usagi as she loaded the cartridge into the Nintendo system and switched on the TV in her living room. "So, what do you think of those two hmm?" asked Ikuko with her body leaning against the kitchen doorway leading to the living room, watching the golden and ebony colored hair kids sitting side by side. "Haha. they sure are adorable." chuckled Megumi as she observed the two children play Nintendo with a look of determination on their faces. "AhA! I WIN!!! Yes! I beat you with a score of 36,981! Muahahaha!" cried Mamoru as Usagi pouts. "No fair! Play again!" "Hehe, just like in the fairy tales eh?" said Ikuko with a warm smile on her face. [November 8, 1993] 'Why do I feel so alone? Like something. is missing. There's this.. gaping hole in my heart and it can't be fixed by myself. Kami-sama, this solitude is killing me. I have a loving family and plenty of friends. but there's still something.. that's not there. I should be happy! But.. but I'm not. Ugh.. I want to scream!! A part of me is.. not here, but it needs to be here! I can't.. live without it. Oh Kami-sama.. this is so unbearable..' thought Usagi with a forlorn look on her face as she continues to watch the setting sun on her favorite bench. She looks enviously at a passing couple, 'What's it like..? What's it like to be in love?' thought Usagi as she silently stood up and grudgingly make her way out of the park. With her head facing the interesting concrete, she barely notices the gradual fall of raindrops. 'Oh great, now I have to walk 8 blocks home in the rain.' *RUMBLE* "GAH!" cried Usagi as she jumped up and sought for comfort from the nearest figure under the bus stop. "Still afraid of lightening eh Usagi-chan?" chuckles Mamoru as he looks down at the beauty in his arms. "Come on, I'll walk you home.. seeing that the bus isn't going to be arriving anytime soon." "Arigatou Mamoru-chan.." whispered Usagi with her head faced down, enjoying the warmth of being in her long-time companion's arms. The two walked quickly in silence with only the sound of pouring rain filling their ears as Usagi's house slowly comes into view. "Hmm.. Mamoru-chan.. do you ever feel.. lonely? Like the soul-wrenching kind of loneliness?" said Usagi with a melancholic look on her youthful face. Mamoru stopped walking and Usagi stopped with him. Surprised by her expression and the question, Mamoru paused to think. "Hai, Usagi-chan. I do, I really and truly do" said Mamoru with a far away look on his face. "But I know that everyone has an eternal companion, and I believe that it just takes time for them to find each other. Out of the billions of people, there is one person for each of us that has the other half of our soul.. and it just takes time for the two to be reunited." "I know Mamoru-chan, but when is that going to happen?.. I can't stand it much longer, this.. heart-aching loneliness. I feel like my soul is about to be ripped and shredded.. and.. and torn! Why's it so hard to bear?!" cried Usagi as her tears mixed with the falling rain. Mamoru watched her as he felt her pain as if it was his own and he worriedly looked down at the beautiful.. woman crying in his arms with her head rested against his chest. "It's ok Usagi-chan, because I know the stunning young woman in my arms will definitely find her love. Because.. if she doesn't.. then no one else should either" whispered Mamoru as he lifted up her chin with his forefingers. "Because.. the woman in my arms is the most beautiful one on this planet, and she.. of all people will find her soul mate. Because in the end.. she is the one that deserves it most.. not because she is the most smartest or most beautiful person on this planet. But because.. she has the biggest heart this world has ever seen. And of all the people that deserves to have unconditional love.. it would be you." said Mamoru as his head slowly inched toward her glowing, red face. "Because anyone who deserves to be given a kiss filled with unconditional love and undying passion.. it would be you" whispered Mamoru as he closed the gap between their lips and gave Usagi a kiss filled with unconditional love and undying passion. "So.. what do you think of those two eh?" observed Ikuko through the living room window with the wooden spatula pushing the blinds open. "Perfect.. just like in fairy tales.." whispered Megumi.. enchanted by the site of the two figures that fit perfectly in each others arms. [July 7, 2000] Usagi's eyes sparkled as she slowly walked rhythmically with the sound of the music. With her flowing white gown and her arms linked with her father's, she patiently walked down the aisle towards her partner, her life, her soul mate. Reaching the alter, she looked into his dark blue eyes that were like windows to his soul and only she can look through to see the depths that stretched beyond the horizon. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony." Mamoru's eyes sparkled in happiness and anticipation as the world faded and it was only he and Usagi. He looks into her light blue colored orbs and sees into the depths of her soul that was as deep as the ocean. This woman was his love, his future, his soul mate. Kami-sama only knows the undying love he feels for her. Like the stars beyond our solar system, their love will stretch beyond eternity. ".You may kiss the bride" And their marriage was sealed with a kiss filled with passionate love still going strong with each passionate day. The guests cheered as the bride and groom seemed to be glowing brightly with a silver and blue aura. Towards the front, two crying women were seated. "So what do you think of those two eh?" sniffled Ikuko. "You think forever maybe?" "Yep, just like in fairy tales," sobbed Megumi. ~ fin ~ ahh.. kinda.. not the story I was really hoping for.. buh it's ok. It's kinda.. really.. short.. ya.
