Disclaimer: Don't own Sailor Moon or characters, never have, never will.
Short and sweet.

Okay all, let's play the game pretend!  Everyone can play pretend right?
Goood, okay lets pretend that after the whole Stars thing, Mamoru
goes to Harvard, after all. He needs an education dammit, so there!
Okay, you can start pretending. Oh, I've also decided to use the
Japanese names for this fic and maybe a smattering of Japanese
vocab, I just thought it would go well. Enjoy reading!

She writes to him, but he never replies.  She signs each
letter with a kiss but he never writes.  Sometimes she adds a drop of
her favorite perfume, the one she knows he loves, just so that he would
remember, but she never receives anything from him.
Where are you, she wonders, have you found someone else?
Has another replaced me?  Someone better?
A tear slides down her cheek and lands on her latest letter.  It
will be her last one before she either loses all hope or travels to find him
herself.
"I love you," she whispers.

"Hey Usagi-chan, where are you going?"
"Hi Mako-chan, I was just going home for the day."
"Now why do something like that on such a beautiful day, come
with me and Rei to the mall.  We've noticed you've been really out of it
these past few days.  What's wrong?"
"Oh it's nothing major, but Mamo-chan hasn't written to me much
at all since he left for Harvard."
"Nothing?"
"Well, he wrote to me once right after he arrived, but it was a
small note saying that he had reached there and was settling in his
apartment. His handwriting looked hurried so I thought he was probably
occupied with moving and stuff."
"Well maybe he's still busy," Makoto supplied.
"It's been three months Mako-chan!  I would even have been
happy with even a one lined note once a month, but I haven't gotten
anything.
Nothing at all."
"Oh."
The two fell silent and then Usagi spoke so quietly, that Makoto
had to bend slightly to hear her.
"Mako-chan, do you think.... do you think that maybe he's
found someone better than me?" She looked up at her friend, tears
pooling at the corners of her eyes.
"Nah, you're his one and only Usagi-chan.  He would never
betray you like that.  Besides, he knows he would get beat up by four very
angry Senshi if he ever did something like that," and she cracked her
knuckles for emphasis.
Usagi smiled slightly at her friend's words.  Mako-chan always
did tend to be a bit more bloodthirsty out of the five of them.  "Thanks
Mako-chan. You should go ahead on that shopping trip with Rei.  You know
how she gets whenever one of us is late to something.  Hurry before she
starts blowing steam.  I'll be fine, so don't worry about me."
"If you say so Usagi, but remember, if you need someone to
talk to, don't hesitate to call any of us."
"Thanks Mako-chan.  I'll see you later then.  Ja ne!"
She watched Makoto run off in the other direction and then turned
around to walk home.  She chewed her lip in thought as she slowly walked,
thinking furiously on what to do.  She could somehow convince her parents
to let her go to America.  She frowned at that idea, her dad wouldn't let
her
go even if she had bodyguards protecting her.  She had enough money so
she could probably get a plane ticket and tell only Luna the Senshi where
she was going. But then reality set in.  Baka Usagi, and what do you know
about America? You would get lost, you would be all alone and you know
Harvard is a big school, so where would you even start?
She had reached home by now and after she closed the front door,
she ran all the way upstairs, hoping her mom wouldn't need her, and burst
into her room, sobs nearly choking her.
She fell to her bed and picked up Luna, waking her from her sleep.
"Oh Luna, I don't know how much longer I can take this.  It's killing me to
know
what's going on with him.  Is he alright?  Is he okay?  Does he even care
about
me?" she cried, burying her face in the cat's soft fur.
Luna turned her head, licking Usagi's face in order to comfort her,
"It's okay Usagi, I'm sure you'll be hearing from Mamoru any day now.  He
probably thinks about you everyday, just like you, it's just that he's
probably
very busy. Moving to a different country is not a very easy thing, you
know."
"I know that Luna, but like I told Mako-chan, even if he wrote just a
little sometimes, I would be happy, but this, this silence is not helping
me.  I
need to know how he is.  I'm worried about him."
Luna didn't know what else to say.  She was worried for Usagi.
Things weren't so bad as when Mamoru had broken up with her, then Usagi
knew where Mamoru was but she also knew, or thought, that he didn't love her
and even though the situation now was slightly different, the pain was still
the
same.
"Oh Usagi, it'll be alright, you'll see."
Usagi sniffed, wiping her face, "I hope so Luna, oh how I hope so."

Later that night Luna woke up, missing the feel of Usagi's leg's
under her.  She looked up sleepily and found Usagi was not under the covers.
She looked around and saw her sitting on the window seat clutching what
looked like the locket that Mamoru had given her so long ago.  A symbol of
their love, it was one of the most precious things in Usagi's life.
Oh Usagi, Luna thought sadly, how can I convince you that everything
will be alright?
Her thoughts were interrupted at the sound of Usagi's voice and
her ears pricked forward as she tried to catch what the girl was saying.
"If I could just hold you once more, just touch you, I would be so
happy.  Maybe dance in a garden of roses or sit under the stars, just to be
with
you even for a moment,..." she trailed off and then she grabbed the locket
tighter and continued, "Oh Mamo-chan, where are you?  I need you so much!"
she began to sob quietly, "Aisheteru Mamo-chan, I need you...so much."
Slowly her tears subsided and when Luna was sure she was asleep,
she dragged a blanket off the bed (AN: she's a strong kitty! ^_^) and tried
her
best to cover Usagi up.  Licking Usagi's face once more, she jumped out of
the window and disappeared into the night.

The next night Usagi was sleeping peacefully in her bed when a
beeping noise caused her to shoot up.
"Huh? Wha-?"  she groggily fumbled around on her bedside
nightstand until her hand found the intended target.  Flipping open the
communicator, she stared into the face of Sailor Mercury with sleepy eyes.
"Sailor Moon, we need you at Juuban Park right away!  Hurry!"
"Coming Sailor Mercury," she flipped the communicator closed
and stumbled out of bed.
"Usagi, can't you go any faster?" Luna asked, irritation in her voice
as she watched the girl try to find her broach.
"Baka Luna, what do you expect? No normal person would be up
and ready to fight at 2:30 in the morning.  I swear, these youmas really
have
bad timing.  Aha! Here it is! Moon Eternal Make Up!"
Her eyes snapped open at the incredible boost of energy she always
felt rushing through her veins as she transformed.  It was better than any
cold
shower in the morning and soon she was ready to fight.
"Sayonara Luna!" she bounded out of the window and ran as
darkness swallowed her up.

When she reached the park, she came to a halting stop.  No one
was there.  At least, not from what she could see.  Had they already fought
and
killed the youma?
"Shimatta!  Rei is so going to scorch me for this one!" she thought
as she looked around.  Never had she been this late and how could they have
destroyed the youma without her?  All of a sudden, a faint light deeper into
the
park caught her eye.  It must be the Senshi, she thought and hurried towards
the
light.
As she reached the area, she stopped and looked around once
more. The light was nowhere to be found.  She slowly turned around, in a
fighting stance, ready to strike out if need be.  This must be a trap, she
thought
and her heart beat  fearfully in her chest, as she tried to tamp down her
worries.
"Usa..."
She gasped and whirled around at the whisper.  What was it?  She
gasped again as she saw another flash of light at the corner of her eye.
Her heart lodged in her throat as she slowly crept towards it, pushing
her way through some bushes as quietly as she could.
How she wished someone was with her.
As she stepped out of the bushes, Usagi froze not believing
what she
saw.  A black cape fluttered slightly, white gloves, a tall lean figure, a
mask that
covered the eyes, yet through which she could see piercing blue eyes staring
straight at her. Straight to her heart.
She licked her lips, her throat suddenly having gone dry and slowly
walked towards him, pulling off her gloves.  She stretched out a hand as if
to
touch and feel to make sure the man standing before her was real.
Her fingertips lightly skimmed his chest, the fabric soft and crisp to
the touch.  Her eyes roved upward and met his, as she licked her lips once
more.
"Tu-Tuxedo Kamen?" she whispered.
"Usako, my sweet Usako," he breathed and moved his fingers,
producing a perfect rose and held it for her to take.  She did and inhaled
its
sweet scent, unsure of whether or not to believe she was in some sort of
dream.
She looked up at him once more and whispered the name that she
had ached for so long to say, "Mamo-chan?"
He smiled and gently took the rose from her hand and tucked it
behind her ear, his fingers against the sensitive skin behind her ear
causing
chills to race up and down her spine.  Then, in a sudden movement, his arm
circled her waist and he lifted her up, surprising her and causing her to
automatically wrap her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck.
"Mamo-chan?"
"Aisheteru baby, I've missed you so much. I'm so sorry."
Her heart melted at his words and she pressed her forehead against
his and brushed her lips against his in the sweetest of kisses, then rested
her
head on his shoulder.
"Mamo-chan?"
"Hm?" he was swaying lightly and she knew they were dancing, or
rather, *he* was dancing while holding her in his arms, and oh God did it
feel
good to be held like this by him.  She had wanted this moment for so
long.....
"How did you know?"
"How'd I know what Usako?"
She smiled happily at his name for her and continued, "How did you
know that I wanted this? This dancing in a garden of roses, being held by
you...
under the stars?  How did you know?"
His eyes had been closed and at her question he opened them slowly
and she shivered deliciously at the desire and passion she saw there in
their
depths.
"That Usa, is a secret.  Just call it magic."
She pouted and he chuckled softly before quieting down, peace
invading both their souls.
"Mamo-chan?"
"Hm?"
"Aisheteru," she said shyly and ducked her head into his neck. She
was never so shy around him but not having seen him for so long made her act
this way. It was as if she was declaring her love for him for the first time
again,
the feelings making her heart race anew, exciting her, overwhelming her with
emotion. Absence definitely does make the heart grow fonder, she thought.
He kissed her ear in a bid for her to look at him and when she did he
smiled and then caught her lips in a passionate kiss.  She gladly
surrendered
and whimpered at the feel of his lips against hers once more and could feel
his
smile as she tightened her arms and tried to press closer to him. It was a
long
while before they broke apart.
"Kami, I thought I would never feel those lips of yours again," she
sighed.
He looked guilty at what she said and replied, "I'm so sorry Usa, I
never meant to hurt you."
She looked confused at his words for a moment until realization
dawned upon her, "You have some explaining to do."
He sighed heavily and shifted her so that she was held against his
chest and began to walk out of the gardens.
"Hey, where are we going?"
He grinned down at her and replied, "That too is a secret."
She giggled and then thought of a wicked idea. She pushed herself
up a bit in his arms and began to nibble on his neck, knowing how sensitive
he
was there. She was right.
He inhaled sharply and almost faltered, "Usako," he growled, "you
are a minx!"
"Too many secrets Mamo-chan, this is the only way I'll get you to
'fess up."
They had reached a clearing and Usagi felt herself going down, as
Mamoru sat., stretching his legs before him and arranging Usagi so that she
sat
on his lap, her legs going the other way.
"Look up Usa," he whispered in her ear and when she did, she let out
a slight, "Oh," in remembrance, as her words came back to her, "...sit under
the
stars, just to be with you...."  The clear night sky was filled with
twinkling lights and
it was an incredible feeling to sit there under the endless black stretching
on
above them.
So entranced was she by this show of nature's beauty, that she jumped
a little when Mamo-chan began to speak.
"Usako, I never meant you to think that I had forgotten about you.  I
could never do that, and I'm deeply sorry if I gave you that impression.
It's just that
I-I got caught up with everything over there, but not a day went by when I
didn't
think about you," he cupped her cheek with his hand and looked deep into her
eyes, "Usa, how could you think that I would choose another over you?
Aisheteru,
my love, and that will always remain true. Forever."
The man really knew how to make her heart soar with his words but
why hadn't he written? She voiced her thoughts out loud, "But why didn't you
write?
I don't think I would have been that worried about you if you had written me
some
kind of letter."
"But I did, I wrote two in fact.  I don't know why you haven't gotten
them."
She stared at him, her mouth open, "You wrote me two letters?  Two?
When?"
"Well, the first I wrote maybe a couple of weeks after I sent you that
note and the second I wrote a little while ago.  I'm quite surprised that
you
haven't received them."
"Me too," she mumbled, and then sat up straight as comprehension
dawned on her, "Shingo! That baka, I knew he was up to something but I never
guessed it was this.  He kept teasing me about you and asked why I hadn't
received any letters from you. Oh, when I get my hands on him..." She shook
her
head and looked at him, something flashing across her eyes and then bowing
her head she sighed and said,  "Mamo-chan, gomen nasai, you must think me
some kind of whacked possessive girlfriend. I was just so worried about you.
Gome-mmph...."
She was silenced as his lips touched hers and then all thoughts flew
from her mind.  He caressed her lips and Usagi moaned slightly as he teased
her, sometimes coming on lightly, other times putting enough pressure to
make
her go crazy.
"Usako," he whispered in between their kisses, "you have no idea
do you?  You are so kawaii when you act possessive, don't ever change my
love. You know, I'm the same when it comes to you," he began to kiss his way
down to her neck as she stroked her fingers through his silky hair, thinking
over
his words.
"Really, you possessive over me?"
He brought his head up and grinned mischievously, "Let's just say
Seiya was real lucky to be going back to his planet with his hair still
intact."
Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open once more.
"Really? But you never showed it!  I mean, you acted pretty normal around
us."
"Trust me Usa, it wasn't easy," he tightened his arms around her
waist and continued, "You are mine, and no other man's."
Before she could retort a reply to that remark he put his finger on
her lips and smiled, "Now hush, I have yet to finish what I started," and
with
that he bent his head once more and continued to nuzzle her neck.
She giggled and pressing closer to him, whispered, "I won't stop
you."

Much later, Tuxedo Kamen deposited a sleeping Usagi onto her
bed. He knelt beside her and kissed her forehead, her nose and then placing
one last kiss on her lips, whispered, "My love, aisheteru."  He then
produced a
rose and put it beside her on the pillow and turned to leave.  Before doing
so
he turned and acknowledged Luna.
"Thank you Luna, and please thank the Senshi for me.  Everything
is alright now."  And with a flutter of his cape he was gone.  Luna looked
at her
charge who slept with a smile and back at the window.
"I'm glad to hear it Mamoru."

~*~*The End*~*~
Well, whatcha think? If you're wondering what Mamo-chan is doing here, being
that he is supposed to be in college and all, wellll let's just say he's on
break
And why didn't Usagi just pick up the phone and call him? Hmm, well phones
weren't invented yet ^_^;;;;;;;  I thought Mamo-chan was sooo incredibly
romantic in this story, I'm thinking of becoming a geneticist just so I
could
clone someone like him (yeah right, whatever). Siiiiiiigh, the perfect man.
