| Title: What If... Author: Lisa Chapter: 2 Rating: G Author's Notes: *smiles* Well, here's chapter 2! I'm sorry, but since the FCAT test is coming up like the first or second week of March, I won't be able to write as much as I would like to, but I promise that after the test is over, I'll be back to my regular writing schedule. Okay, with that said, on to the story! Enjoy! Disclaimers: Sailor Moon and the others don't belong to me, but this story does. ************ "You are...not my daughter?" Serenity interrogated, very confused. "Well, not really. I am your future daughter remember?" Chibi-Usa replied. "My future daughter...okay, this is too confusing." Serenity muttered, looking around for Endymion. She smiled faintly, knowing he would be here soon. Perchance he could solve this little scenario. Endymion was always the one with logic, as in Serenity's opinion. "Chibi-Usa, whoever you are, just tell me what you are doing here, and why." "Um I am here to...train with you Mama?" Chibi-Usa half asked, have answered. "Train? I do not train with anyone. Come to think of it, I do not train at all. It is the senshi who do that..." Serenity scratched her head. "Are you sure you are at the right place? Since you are from the future..." She trailed off, not knowing how to explain it. "Wrong place? How could my time key take me to the wrong place?" "How should I know?" "You are my mother!" "Why you little brat..." Serenity glared at the child, her eyes narrowing. "How dare you. You should be ashamed." She stated simply, a triumphant look on her face that she had managed to keep Chibi-Usa quiet. "Mama, I was just trying to be...you are so mean Mama." Chibi-Usa took advantage of her age, and starting crying. "You do not love me Mother." She whined, big, wet tears rolling off her small cheek. Serenity rolled her eyes. "You know, I am not falling for that. I used to do that with MY mother, so do not even try that on me." She shook her head. "You must really be spoiled." "Well, Daddy spoils me more than my mom does." "Oh, is that so?" Serenity asked. ‘I guess I will have to change that will not I?' She thought to herself, a evil grin plastered on her face as she rubbed her hands together mischievously. ‘Endy will not spoil you as long as I am here.' Yet another wicked grin followed her schemes. Endymion walk discreetly past a few guards standing by the fountain by the rose gardens. To his pleasure, they did not notice him at all. "Whew." He breathed, then preceded to the gardens. There, Endymion saw the pink haired kid again. "So you are real." He said, walking towards the two Serenity and Chibi-Usa. "I thought...Serenity and I thought you were just a mere illusion." "Daddy..." Chibi-Usa whined. "Remember me? Your little pumpkin? Sugarplum?" Receiving a blank look from both Serenity and Endymion, Chibi-Usa sighed. "I guess not." She walked around. "Maybe the time key did take me to the wrong place." She said out loud. "You think?" Serenity gave the child a uncanny look. "I do not know Chibi-Usa. Tell me, who are you supposed to be greeted by when you came here?" "Um...Usagi." "Usagi, huh?" Endymion cut in, a small chuckle emitting from his throat. "Cute name." He acknowledged simply, producing a rose and twirling it around for his amusement. "Usagi? Rabbit? Bunny?" Serenity inquired. "Something like that." Chibi-Usa nodded. "And I was supposed to train with her, and she looks exactly like you." The pointed to Serenity. "That is why I thought you were my mama." "Maybe I am..." Serenity mused long and hard about this. Should she accept this child was Endymion and her's child in the future? Or should she just forget about it, claim that Chibi-Usa was not her's, and send her on her way? In a way, Serenity kind of liked having Chibi-Usa around...or not. "Alright, suppose I am your mother. Tell me, does Usagi have this?" She called upon the Silver Crystal, and showed it to Chibi-Usa. She nodded. "Hai, Usagi needs it to transform." She stated simply. "Huh? Never mind." "And this?" Serenity pointed to her crescent moon symbol. "Uh...no, she does not." Chibi-Usa finally realized it. Usagi did not have a crescent moon symbol on her forehead. As much as she did not want to admit she was in the wrong past, she knew it was true. Now what to do about it though... "There, so you are in the wrong time." Serenity beamed slightly, a triumphant look on her face. So Chibi-Usa was not supposed to be here, but is here anyway. Now what a relief for Serenity, she finally had something figured out. Chibi-Usa took out her time key. "Well, I might as well go." A grin formed on her face. "But be careful. One day, you might just see me again." She held the time key in the air. "Time key, take me to..." She paused, scratching her head. "Uh...wherever I am supposed to be at." Serenity shook her head. "This is one weird future kid I have." She muttered under her breath. "I heard that!" Chibi-Usa yelled back. "Whatever." Chibi-Usa gasped. "You are so rude!" "Yeah right!" Endymion just stood there, not involved in any way, a big sweat drop on his head. "There is nothing like a future mother and daughter bickering." He replied, chuckling lively. Meanwhile, the two are still at each other's throats. "I am leaving!" Chibi-Usa shouted loudly. Serenity rolled her eyes, yawning. "Like we really care." Chibi-Usa's mouth dropped open. "Fine!" "Fine!" "Time key, take me to where am I supposed to be at, away from this horrible and rude mother I have." Serenity make a very un-princess like face at her future daughter. She walked over to Endymion. "Now maybe we can have a little peace and quiet around here." "Time key, work!" Chibi-Usa shouted at it. Silence filled the air, with the exception of a chirping bird. "Uh...this will not work." "Nani? Let me see it." Serenity took the key from it. "Work!" She vociferated at it, clutching it tightly. Still, nothing happened. A big sweat drop appeared on everyone's head. "Well, looks like I have to stay here." "Nani??? You mean I am stuck with you for who knows how long? I will not stand for it." Serenity exclaimed, her face red with anger. "Endy, say something." "Uh...calm down Sere." Serenity lifted an eyebrow. "And?" "Sere, come on, we will have a talk." Endymion led Serenity away so they could talk in private. Serenity sighed as she sat down on the stone bench, twirling with a strand of her hair. She glance over at Endymion, who, at the moment, seemed as calm and tranquil as ever. She did not get it. Even with this big mess, Endymion could still stay calm? "Endymion, I can not take it anymore. Chibi-Usa is just to much for me to handle." She closed her eyes. "I am still young." "But you are much older than Chibi-Usa. Just..." He hesitated before continuing, afraid that what he would say next would hurt Serenity. "Maybe go a little easier on her. Chibi-Usa is a long ways from home, and she is only five years old, just a small, helpless girl." Serenity looked up at Endymion. "Your point is?" Endymion smiled, gently caressing her face. "Be just a little nicer to her, that is all I ask." Serenity conceptualized this for a little while. "Hai, I will. However just a little." She acknowledged finally. Endymion nodded. "That is good Serenity." Serenity grinned. "You know, Chibi-Usa told me that her father spoils her more than her mother does. I am beginning to see that." "Sere!" They sat in silence for a few minutes, before Endymion got up. "I have to go and attend to issues on Earth. See you agin soon." He lightly kissed her cheek, and producing a red rose, handed it to a very elated Serenity. "Ja ne Endy." She whispered as he left, smiling to herself as she held the thornless rose close to her heart. "Mama?" Chibi-Usa's small voice broke Serenity out of her thoughts. "Hai?" "Um...can we do something fun?" She asked. "Sure." They walked together silently, Chibi-Usa stopping and smelling the flowers once in a while. "It is beautiful out here, is it not Mama?" "Hai, it is." "Where are we going?" Chibi-Usa was just full of questions, her curiosity growing fast. "You wanted to train remember? We are going to pay the senshi a visit. But just do me a favor." "What is it?" "Do not call me Mama, call me Serenity." "Um...I will try." Serenity smiled. Chibi-Usa can be sweet at some times, but others, she could be the most annoying kid on the face of this moon. This was her big chance to get to know Chibi-Usa and her future better, she realized. She could know what her future is! Maybe Chibi-Usa coming here to her time was not that bad after all... "Hey, look who is coming." Minako pointed to Serenity and Chibi-Usa who were coming in. "What are you doing here Serenity, and who is this?" Ami stepped forward. "Serenity, she looks just like you." Ami looked shocked at the resemblance between the two. "Sure she does." Serenity rolled her eyes for the second time today. "Ami, Minako, Makoto, Rei?" Chibi-Usa inquired, stepping forward to meet them. "Cool! Hi guys!" "Huh? How does she know us?" Rei asked, eyeing Chibi-Usa suspiciously. "Little girl, what is your name?" "My name is Neo-Princess Serenity, also called Chibi-Usa by my parents." "Neo-Princess Serenity?" Four very surprised senshi said in unison. "Oh no.." ************** Okay, chapter 2 is finally finished! Hope you've enjoyed this story so far, and rest assured, there are more chapters coming soon.
