| Title: What If... Author: Lisa Chapter: 3 Rating: G Author's Notes: I just thought I might squeeze in one last chapter before the big test Monday. *sighs nervously* I hope to do well on it, and because of that, I won't be writing much the first week of March, but I promise I will make up for that after the test. Anyway, this will be very short, but just be glad that you even have a chapter to read. At first, I decided not to post this, then, a lot of people wanted to read this, so here it is. Hope you will enjoy! Disclaimers: Sailor Moon and the others don't belong to me, but this story does. ************ "Uh minna, she does not look like me, and...um...she is a little out of it." Giving Chibi-usa ‘the look', she giggled nervously. "I wonder where she got the name Neo-Princess Serenity from, huh?" "Sure Sere, sure." Makoto shook her head. "I mean really Sere, she ever has your hairstyle, and she knew who we are." She pointed out. "Hai, you are right, she does." Rei added in her two cents. Serenity exhaled a deep breath of air. "Minna, I would appreciate it greatly if you would pretend that we did not come in here." She turned around to leave, grimacing at just the thought of her mother finding out who this kid was...she would go ballistic. "Ah come on Serenity, leaving so soon? Why do not you stay for just a little while longer?" Minako teased, giggling gleefully. All the senshi started giggling then...that is...except for Ami who just stayed silent, carefully examining Chibi-Usa, looking at her suspiciously. She then bent down until she was at eye level with the child. "Chibi-Usa, where are you from?" She inquired gently, as if not to startle to young girl. "Um..the future?" Chibi-Usa answered, looking over at Serenity who looked about ready to kill her. "Who are your parents? Do we know them?" "Hai, there is Mommy right now..." Ami followed her gaze to Serenity, who was about to go insane. "Sere is your mother?" "Hai." Chibi-Usa replied firmly, very sure of herself. Serenity took hold of the child. "Chibi-Usa..." She warned, giving her a dirty look. "Ami, there is nothing to worry about here, Chibi-Usa is just joking with you, are you not Chibi-Usa?" Once again, a look with given to her. "Uh...hai?" "Good." Serenity nodded. "Chibi-Usa gets weird ideas once in a while." "Uh...Princess, since when did you know of this...Chibi-Usa? You have not even mentioned her once." "Ami, it is Sere and Serenity please, and oh, it must have plainly slipped my mind. You know how forgetful I am." "Hai, I do." A smile formed on Ami's face. Serenity was quite the forgetful princess, but very loyal, and respected my her people. Now Queen Serenity...that is a different story. The Queen seldom made mistakes, very unlike Serenity. "Please stay a little while longer Sere, you too Chibi-Usa." Ami said. "You can stick around for out training session." "Sure!" Chibi-Usa jumped up and around happily, like any typical five year old would. "Okay..." Serenity replied haltingly, unsure if it was the right thing to do. She knew that the senshi wanted to know more about Chibi-Usa, and why she recognized them, and knew their names. This was just the perfect opportunity for them to, since all little kids are just so gullible. The senshi walked out onto the platform, ready and eager to train like they do every single day. Sometimes Serenity would envy them. They led such free lives, but as a princess, she did not. In fact, Serenity barely went out that much. "Mama? Can I go and train with them?" A small voice broke Serenity out of her thoughts. "Nani? You can get hurt Chibi-Usa." She responded softly, too tired to yell at Chibi-Usa anymore. "I will not Mother." Chibi-Usa stood her ground. Serenity could tell she was not about to give up. "As you wish, Little One." She smiled, and patted Chibi-Usa on the head. "I am just going to head out for some fresh air." "Arigato Mama." Chibi-usa turned around and ran over to the senshi, her pink pigtails flapping behind her. For a five year old, Chibi-Usa was very energetic and very tiring too. Serenity sighed heavily, rubbing her temples. "Chibi-Usa, Chibi-Usa.." She murmured. "You are just too much." "Serenity?" Serenity looked up. "Mother?" "Yes, Serenity. May I join you?" Queen Serenity inquired. Serenity nodded, and gestured for her mother to take a seat next to her. "What do you wish to discuss, Mother?" "Oh, I just wanted to talk with you about small matters. Like why you are here everyday for the past month or so. I am getting suspicious of your behavior Serenity." Serenity looked shocked, but wiped the expression off her face immediately. "I just like to...enjoy the beauty of the garden before I head in, that is all." "Oh." The Queen looked introspective as she contemplated what Serenity had just said. "Well, you have your ways Serenity. Just be careful." Serenity nodded. "Hai Mother, I will." Serenity picked at a flower growing on a neighboring bush. "It is beautiful out here." She murmured. "I agree Serenity. Now about that child Chibi-Usa. She seems a little bit of weird, do not you think so?" Queen Serenity looked over at Serenity, who looked apprehensive all of a sudden. "I suppose Mother, if that is how you look like it." "What I mean is, Serenity, for someone to call me Grandmother...that is a little bit strange and unusual, right?" "Of course it is." Queen Serenity smiled. "Just be conscientious a little more these days Sere, okay?" She gently embraced her daughter. "I think Earth is about to attack us..." Queen Serenity turned to leave. "Mother..." "Yes Serenity?" Serenity hesitated for a second. Should she tell her about her secret meetings with Endymion? No, she could not; it would be breaking her promise she made. "Nothing." "Alright. See you at dinner." "Okay Mother." Serenity watched as her mother left before letting out a sigh of relief. She had thought that the Queen had found out about her secret meetings or about who Chibi-Usa really was. ‘She is going to find out sooner or later.' Serenity contemplated. Serenity just hated lying like that, especially to her mother, but hey, desperate times calls for desperate measures... "Ahhhhh!!!!!" Serenity's head shot up in shock. "What was that?" She asked aloud. "It sounded like it had come from the training room. Oh no, Chibi-Usa and the senshi!" Serenity started to run with all her might, afraid something might have happened to Chibi-Usa, or the senshi. "Help!" Makoto ran helplessly, trying to reach the exit, Minako, Rei, and Ami not far behind. "Get me out of here!" Serenity ran to the door, then stopped. It seemed like the whole building was glowing! A strong energy beam was illuminating the from the inside, out. Serenity ran inside. "Chibi-Usa! Are you here?" She called out, but the sound of her voice was muffled by the screams of the other senshi. "Sere, help us!" Ami shrieked. "I can not stand it in there any longer!" "It is the attack of the pink haired killer!" Minako shouted, running like mad towards the doorway that Serenity was standing at right now. "You got that right, Minako!" Makoto replied, also running with all her might. "Make way!" "Iie!" Serenity tried to get out of the way, but it was too late. ::THUMP:: The five girls collided together, forming a big mix of senshi, and princess. "Ow!" "Ouch." "That hurt!" "You got that right." "Everyone okay?" Serenity asked, rubbing her sore body. "Hai, we are alright." "Oh, speak for yourself Makoto. No we are not okay! Your so called future daughter nearly killed us in there! You never told us she had strong powers, that were triggered when she was scared!" Rei all but shouted, her face red with anger, and embarrassment. Anger that she was sprawled out on the floor helpless, embarrassed that she had gotten run down by a five year kid. Serenity paled. "Who...who told you she was my future daughter?" "Duh! Chibi-Usa did, of course. Who else would have told us? And since when had you known that you would have a future daughter? And with who?" Rei asked curiously. "Yes, with who?" Three voices chorused all at once. Serenity sighed. "Here we go again..." ************ There's your very short, and poorly written chapter 3!
