Okay, to all ye who are reading this: I do not own the main and minor
characters in this story. Which include: Serena, Darien, Rei, Sammy, and
Serena's parents. Okey-day? Although I would just adore owning them, but
right that's Dic's responsobility. . . not mine.  And one last thing:
this story setting is before Darien and Serena were, 'Dating' and before
Darien found out that Serena was Sailor Moon (and vise-versa) Just to
clear that up with you.
Well then:
ON WITH THE STORY!

* * * * * * * * * * * *

The rain pounded roughly on the windows of Serena's house. She looked
up sighed, then slumped farther into the couch. She began humming a
little tune and just when she was about over. . . there came a knock on
the door. By this time the rain was just a thick sheet of water.
Serena got up and quickly went to the door, thinking that it was her
parents (Who were visiting her aunt and uncle) and had forgoten their
key. But when she opened the door, her parents weren't standing ther
but, and dashingly handsome young man, with slick, black, wet, hair, and
crystal blue eyes.
Serena raised an eyebrow at the man and gave him a skeptical look.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I was - Uh- in the neighborhood when it started pouring," he said a
bit sheepishly. He ran his fingers through his thick black hair.
Serena grasped the door as if she was going to slam it in his face,
but she didn't. She just sighed and half reluctantly said, "Well, I just
can't leve you out there. Now can I?" She took one small step to the
side and opened the door a little wider. Darien gratiously came in and
waited. Serena went to go get him a towel, thinking to her-self *I
wanted company, but I didn't know I would be so lucky as to get DARIEN.*
Serena blushed a little, and hoping that her little dramatization, of
her NOT wanting Darien here, was going well.
She quickly got back to Darien, who was waiting patiently for her.
"Thanks, Meatball head," Dairen said then automatically wishing he
hadn't called Serena 'Meatball Head'.
"If you call me that again, Dickweed, I will personally not just
push you out into the rain again but, make sure you drown in the river,"
Serena growled.
"I'm sorry," It was in his voice and in his eyes that the was
sincerly sorry.
"Whatever. Look, I just boiled some tea, and I don't know why I am
doing this but, would you like some?" She said glaring (not too harshly)
at him.
"Sure." He replied looking into her imposibly blue eyes. Serena
nodded and turned to go pour him some tea. While she was off in the
kitchen Darien dried off, Serena quickly came back with a mug of hot
tea.
"Thank You," he said taking the mug gingerly.
"Why in the world am I doing this?" She asked him as he followed
Serena to her living room, "I mean It's not like you would exactly do
this for me."
But she didn't know that the one thing Darien was thinking was *I
would gladly make the rains vanish just so you could be happy, Serena*
He forced himself to wait untill Serena's back was turned to him, before
he smiled his I-like-you-Serena-smile.
"So," he asked sitting down on the couch while Serena took a chair
nearby, "Where's your family?"
"Oh Sammy is at a friends house, and my parents are visiting my
aunt and uncle," she replied tossing one of the golden pig-tails out of
her face. "So," she asked him carefully, "how did you find my house?"
"Well, Rei pointed it out to me," he said between sips of tea.
"Figures," serena mummbled. Just like Rei to go tell Darien where
she lived, not that it bothered her. Except the fact he called her
Meatball head. That was not one name she wanted to stick.
They talked a little while more, about nothing inpiticular, and
when there was nothing left to say; the rain had stopped.
"I guess I should go now," Darien said glancing out the window,
then to Serena. He was suddenly struck by her beauty. She was in the
moon's silvery rays, turning her golden-blonde hair to a softer white
with hues of gold. And lighting up her porcelain face. Her eyes
glittered like two exquisitly carved gems. Darien suddenly relized that
he was gapping and stopped, although it was terribly hard. Then Serena's
porcelain face turned a deep shade of red, relizing that Darien had been
gapping at her.
"Well," She gently took his mug from him and rushed it to the
kitchen, then rushed back. She opened the door for Darien and he horsely
whispered a stunned, "Thank You, Serena." Then Smiled one of his
awstruck smiles and left.
When Serena closed the door she rushed to where Darien had left his
towl and picked it up. She flopped on the couch and brought it to her
nose. She smiled sweetly at the scent of spices and gentle sweetness.
She held it close to her heart as she gingerly walked up the stairs to
her room. When she got to her bed she placed it gently on her pillow and
laid down on it. She rolled over on her stomach and thought of Darien.
She whispered his name, a sound so sweet to her ears she could hardly
bear it.
**But little did she know that Darien was standing in her drive way
watching her window. He smiled as he thought of the blue-eyed beauty
that slept in that room.
"Good bye," he whispered softly. Then he turned around to head home,
but stopped after only one step and turned around. He smiled a little,
then raised his finger-tips to his lips and blew her a loving, caring
kiss.
