What the-? How the-? I- Darien!?" Serena yelped as she opened her eyes. Darien and her were in her rec. room It was 8:00 . . . in the morning. Darien groaned, "Serena, Please! Wait, Serena? Why are you in my apertment?" "We're in my rec. room, unless you moved the location of your apartment to my rec room." She snapped. She rubbed her head a little then suddenly remembered what happened. Her parents were out of town on a business trip for a few days. And Serena had asked Darien to watch a movie with her on friday night, they must've fallen asleep. Serena rubbed her face, "Forget it. I'm going to take a shower." And she walked upstairs. Darien looked through his blurred vision around the room. "Jeez, She's right. . ." Darien suddenly remembered that Serena had asked him to watch a movie with her last night. They must have fallen asleep. ** Serena sighed as she let the almost too hot water wash over her. She tried to remember what happened last night. There was a battle . . . and she asked Darien to watch a movie . . . they were watching a Star Trek movie (Per Darien's request, although Serena had to admit she liked it.) , then she remembered when she fell asleep. *Good,* She thought, *Nothing happened.* She hopped out of the shower and dried off. Then changed into her clothes a pair of hippie-died blue and white flares and a light blue tee-shirt. She quickly did her make up, clear lip-gloss and light blue eyeshadow, and walked downstairs. She was brushing her wet hair as Darien walked into her living room. "Hang a sec. I have to check in with my parents. They'll shoot me if they knew you were here," Serena said putting her hair brush down and picking up the phone. She dialed some numbers. "Hi, Mum. (Pause) Yeah, I'm okay. How are you? (Pause) That's good. (Pause) I'm going to the mall, and I'm meeting up with Ami, Lita, Mina, and Rei (Pause) Yes, mum, everything is fine with Rei and I (Pause) No mum, no fights. (Pause) Yes I know I should do that. (Pause) I was going to call him today (Pause) Funny, Mum (Pause) Yes, I'll take all the numbers with me when I go to the mall (Pause) Okay Okay, Tell Daddy I love him. (Pause) Yes I'll check in later. (Pause) I can?! Really? (Pause) Yes, Yes, I'll check in (Pause) Alright. I love you, Mum (Pause) Yes, I love daddy too. Bye," And she hung up the phone. "Who were you going to call today?" Darien asked as soon as the phone hit the reciver. "You," She laughed. Darien smiled. Serena went to a drawer and tossed him a tooth brush. "Are you trying to tell me something?" He laughed. "Yes," She smiled and walked over to the CD player, as Darien walked upstairs. When he came back down the song 'Simply Irresistible' by: Ginuwine (AN: Romeo Must Die Soundtrack. I TOATALLY recomend it.) was playing. Darien smiled as he saw Serena, streched out on the couch, mouthing along to every word. It was so cute. "Hey, Honey," He smiled as she got up and turned pink. "Hey," She walked up to him and kissed him. "So what were you going to do today?" Serena ran her fingers through her wet hair, "Oh I'm going to the mall and meeting up with Ami, Mina, Lita and Rei. And mom said I could invite them over to sleep." "Awww geee, That means I can't fall asleep in your rec. room tonight?" Darien laughed. Serena joined him. "Sorry. You can stop by . . . if you let us wax your legs," Serena laughed at the look Darien had on his face. Serena stood on tip-toes and kissed his nose. He shook his head and wrapped his arms around her slender waist. They both smiled. Suddenly there was a knock at her door, *This is going to happen everytime we're together, isn't it?* Serena though going to the door. "Hello?" She opened it. Mina was standing there. "Hey, I thought I'd stop by early." Mina smiled. Serena raised an eyebrow and laughed. She let Mina in and they walked to her living room where Darien was waiting for Serena. He took one look at Mina and raised a eyebrow at Serena. "What?" She asked him. "Darien it's like 8:30 in the morning. What are you doing here?" Mina asked him and then turned to Serena, "Did you? You didn't! Please tell me you didn't!" "Mina!" Serena reprimanded, "Of course not! I should hit you for that. Darien came over to watch a movie and we fell asleep, Okay?" Mina nodded, "Alright." "Serena? Walk me to my car?" Darien asked her. "Sure," And the two walked out of the house. "I kinda wanted to be alone with you. Oh, well." He dipped Serena's back and kissed her, "Call me, Okay?" And he kissed her again. Serena smiled. "Of course. Bye, Honey." And she kissed him again. He hugged her and got into his car. "Bye, Serena. I love you." Darien sped off. Serena smiled. ** Serena giggled as she followed Mina across the street. Serena dropped her shopping bag she quickly picked it up but not in enough time to get out of the way of the Car that speed around the corner. The Car that was aimed right at her . . . ** Darien was looking over some new softwear when he felt it. It was like a thousand knives stabbing into his spine. Then it felt almost as if his body was being dismembered peice by peice. And through that the only thing he thought was, *Something happened to Serena!!* When the pain was gone he felt as if there was nothing in him. He was hollow. He grabbed His coat and ran to his car. *SERENA!!! NOOOOO!!!* He saw the group of people gathered around her, and the ambulances, and the police cars. Darien felt tears stinging his eyes. He went to Serena and the police oficer pulled him back. "No! You can't kep me away from her. She's my girlfriend!" He thought quickly to be able to be by her side. Darien was pouring out tears. The officer felt sorry for him "Alright, Son. What's your name?" He asked Darien. "Darien. Darien Chiba." He relied shakily. "Darien?" a whisper was heard from Serena, "don't leave me . . ." Darien looked at the oficer questionly, And he nodded. He walked over to Serena on the street. "I won't leave you, Serena. I can't. I'll always be with you," He cried out. "I love you, Darien," She whispered. And thoes were the last words he ever heard from her lips. Two hours later, Serena was pronounced dead at the Saint Catherin Memorial hospital. ** It had been two days scence the 'acident'. Darien wouldn't even bother getting out of his bed. He didn't eat, he didn't sleep, he just looked at the one picture of Serena he had. Andrew came by once. "Darien?" Andrew asked. He heard a groan from Darien's room. He walked over there. "Andrew." Darien said bluntly. Darien had stubble growing along his chin, his hair was greasy, and he was a pale white. "Darien, I know you miss her, but-" Darien cut Andrew off. "NO! She's not gone! There fore I can't miss her! Andrew, She was . . . My soulmate." "Oh, Come on, Darien. That's Rubish. Soulmates are just myths." Darien leaped up from his bed and tackled Andrew to the floor. "TAKE THAT BACK!!!" He screamed. "ALRIGHT!!! ALRIGHT!!" Andrew screamed. Darien let him go, "I'll be at work Darien. If you need me. Call me there." Andrew snapped and walked away from Darien, who was crawling back into his bed. ** Andrew shook his head. Serena's four friends sat in a booth. They didn't say anything, they didn't order anything. They just sat there Stairing into space. Andrew didn't understand. Serena had just left town. Why was everyone upset? He walked over to the girls. "Hey, Can you answer something for me," Four pairs of eyes turned to look at him. "Yes," they all whispered. "Why is everyone so upset over this Serena thing?" He asked. "You mean you haven't heard?" Lita asked him slowly. She had dark circles under her eyes, almost as if she hadn't slept in days. They all looked like that. "No," Andrew replied. "Serena (Pause) Passed on, two days ago," Ami said then turned so Andrew didn't see her tears. Andrew stepped back, stunned. "No. She's . . . She's . . ." They all nodded sadly. Andrew turned as tears fell from his eyes. ** Darien starred up at the celing. He had a gun on his night stand. *If this is the only way, then so be it,* He thought picking it up. Darien quickly scribbled a note explaining everything. He held the gun in his right had and was about to pull the trigger when . . . It was ripped from his hand. And dissinagrated in thin air. "Darien!" A sweetly familliar voice reprimanded. "What do you think you're doing!?" "Serena!?" He asked the air. "I'm flattered, but no. Queen Serenity. Remember me? Come on, Darien." And a portal apeared in the air. Darien walked through it, clearly disapointed. Queen Serenity stood there shaking her head. "Darien, Darien." "Why did you stop me! I wanna be with her! I have to be with her," Darien colapsed on the ground crying. "Why? Was it her time? And why didn't you tell me?" "It wasn't her time, Darien." Serenity kneeled next to him, "I didn't want to tell you this, but when you tried to kill yourself . . . I had to tell you. (Pause) There is a way to bring her back." Darien looked up at her, "WHAT IS IT!!??" He screamed. "Darien! This could effect both you and her in the end!" "I don't care! I don't care! I don't care! I didn't even get to say good-bye! or that I loved her! I don't care! I'll do anything to get her back!" He began to cry again. "Give up your Tuxedo Mask powers." She said quietly. "I'll do it!" He screamed. "Well, what happens if Sailor Moon is in trouble and Tuxedo mask is the only one who can save her. And what about the other Sailor Scouts?" "I don't care! Anything to get her back!!" Darien cried. Serenity shook her head and pulled a crystal from her sleve and placed it on Darien's chest, right above his heart. Suddenly Darien felt powerless, and the clear crystal had turned black. Serenity raised the crystal above her head. She paused and turned to Darien. "This is your last chance, Darien," She said. "I know," He whispered. Serenity sighed and broke the crystal. A flash of light apeared infront of Darien and Serena fell into his arms. Then Serenity's chamber's vanished and he was back in his bedroom. Serena began to stir, "Uhhhh, Darien? Is that you?" "Serena? Serena!" Darien began to cry over her body. "Darien? What is it? What happened? And why in lord's name do I not have any clothes on!?" She screeched at him. Darien ran out of the room. He had grabbed Serena's shopping bag to give to Mina but never did. He tossed it to her. Serena quickly changed and went out into the living room where Darien was sitting, blushing and crying. He looked up at her. She sat next to him. "Darien? Darien. What's wrong?" She asked him. "You're back," He whispered. Then grabbed her and kissed her more passionatly then he ever did. He refused to let go of her. She was his life. When they parted serena looked at him, "I left?" "You died. You got hit by a car," He cried. Serena was stunned. "I- I- died? How am I here then?" "I gave my tuxedo mask powers to save you," He whispered. "NO! Darien!! The other scouts, we need you! Oh Darien!" Serena's mind was filled with emotions. She grabbed Darien and began to cry. "I love you, Darien." Darien stroked her sun-beam blonde hair, "I love you too," He gathered Serena in his arms and just held her, just so He could feel the touch of her skin against his again. He kissed her fore-head. "You have no Idea how much I love you, Serena." "I do. Because I love you the same way." She wrapped her arms around his neck. Serena's eyes closed and she fell asleep. Darien picked her up with the most care posible and placed her in his bed. He sat next to her. Refusing to leave her side. ** When Serena awoke the next morning, she called her parents and told them everything was alright (Because they hadn't been 'informed' yet), and that she was sorry she hadn't called. She was busy and completly forgot. Her parents forgave her. "Darien?" She asked him. The two were on Darien's balcony looking over the city. "Yes?" He took her hand to make sure this was all real. "Now what?" "I don't know," And he bent down and kissed her. ** Darien's arm was wrapped firmly around Serena's waist as the two walked into the arcade. Lita, Mina, Ami, and Rei were at their normal booth, staring off into space. "Hey, guys," Darien said. "Darien?" They all turned to look at him. "SERENA!?!?!?!" They screamed. Serena looked at Darien. "Hey, Guys," She smiled. They all ran up to her. "Where'd you come from!?" "I'll explain it later. At my house, at six," And she and Darien turned and left. )** Serena's House at Six **( "So? What happened!?" Mina said unable to contain any more excitement. Darien sat in a chair and Serena's back rested against his legs. "I died. And Dar- Darien gave his tuxedo mask powers to bring me back," a tear fell from her eye as the others turned to look at Darien. "You, WHAT!?" They screamed. "I had to. I love her," He said sitting down on the floor with Serena. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and she laid her head on his chest. "What will happen if we get into a fight and you're the only one who can save us!?" Rei screamed. The others looked at him. "I don't know," Darien ran his fingers through his hair. "Darien! Did you even THINK about US!?" Lita asked him, impatiently. "YES!! I did. But Serena . . . I . . . Had . . ." Darien said quietly. Serena couldn't take it any more. She wiggled free of Darien's grasp and ran outside, crying. "SERENA!" Darien called after her. He ran outside but Lita's hand grabbed his shoulder. "Let her go. She'll come back when the time is right." Tears fell from His eyes. "I love her," He whispered. ** Serena ran past the houses. She didn't care where she went just as long as she got away. Tears stung her eyes and she flopped on a bench in a park. "What did he do? This all my fault. I'd give my life to have things back," She sobbed out. "Serena! Honestly!" A voice from behind her. She turned to find Queen Serenity. "Hello." Seren turned back to the ground. "Come with me," Serenity opened a portal and Serena walked through. She sighed as she came to Serenity's chambers. "I want things back to the way they were." Serena sighed. "There is a way to bring his powers back," Serenity said sighing. "What!!??" "I didn't tell you because it's a tad risky." "PLEASE!!" "Jeez! You and Darien ARE soulmates, for the love of god!" Serenity mummbled, "For you to give half your Sailor moon power to him. Both yours and the power you gave him will grow back to it's full capacity. But the risk is that your powers might not grow or over grow and you would die, both of you." Serena paused, "I understand." Serenity shook her head she pulled out a crystal, "This is your last chance." "I know." Serenity Let the crystal go and it floated in mid-air untill it came into contact with Serena's collar-bone and a bright white light engulfed her body. "Go, Serena. You know what to do." And Serena was back in the park. Serena got up and began to walk back home. ** Darien sat on the steps outside Serena's house. The other scouts sat next to him. "Don't worry, Darien. She'll be back," Ami comforted him. "Yeah, Don't worry." Lita said. "Darien?" A sweetly soft voice called out. "Serena!?" Darien got up and ran down the walk way to find Serena waiting for him. They said a few things to each other and Darien let her back into his car. ** When they got to Darien's apartment , Darien led Serena out to his balcony. "Private enough for you?" He smiled. Serena reached up and kissed him, Passionatly. Suddenly Darien felt this huge surge of power and he pulled back. "Serena? What was that?" He asked her. "Oh, Tuxedo Mask," She suggled againt his chest. "TIME OUT! You're in your Sailor Moon uniform and why did you just call me Tuxedo mask," Darien raised an eyebrow at her. "Take a guess." Darien looked over his body, "What the-?" Serena explained everything to him. When she was done he picked her up and twirled her around in a circle. "I love you, Serena." "I love you, Darien." And the two lovers kissed under the moon light. **Stuff at the end: No nothing went wrong with the power growing thingy. They were all fine. Okay then.
