K, well you're here obviously to learn more about me, the webmistress for A Witch's Home, so I will tell you more about me then!
My real name is Shaelan, but on the web and in my web groups, I am known as Prieace. How did I come to that name you ask? Well, my real name (which is a combination of Shalom and Shaman), means Priestess of Peace. Obviously this would be too long for people to call me by, so I condensed it to Prieace. I also figured out the name number (through numerology) is, surprisingly enough, the same as my birth number! So, that satisfied me enough to also make Prieace my Witch name!
Yes, I am a Witch. And I am proud to be so. How did I become a Witch? Well... For my birthday, one year, an old friend of mine gave me a spell book and a tarot card set as a gift. I was intrigued as to what exactly she had given me, so I went to Chapters and started looking around for more books on tarot cards and spells. I saw a bunch of books on a subject called Wicca, so I had a look through the pages... Well, I bought the book, as well as about three more on Wicca and Witchcraft.
I was hooked! LOL I read and read, and read some more. What I was reading felt so right to me. Like this was what I had been searching for, for so long. Bought some more books, and read some more. Finally, I decided to do a self-dedication ritual that I read in one of the books I had. A year and a day later, I initiated myself into Wicca. This was my calling, my destiny (so to speak). I felt this instant relief as I ventured into my new spiritual and religious path!
That was four years ago. It's been a tough and complicating road to travel as a Solitary Witch, but I am learning. That's what brought me to creating A Witch's Home. I wanted to create a site that a fellow beginner or even just those interested in Wicca/Witchcraft could learn about it in one spot (kind of like a one-stop-shop). The words contained in these pages however, are not the one and only true beliefs of Wicca. These are my Solitary Eclectic beliefs. This site is of information that I personally have read and studied, and have adapted my knowledge into my own solitary tradition.
I am not abnormal. I don't fly around on a broomstick (although I do have one), and my skin is not green. I have a husband, three wonderful kids, and yes, a cat. I have a home daycare business, a house, a car (which oddly enough, I prefer to use over my broomstick LOL). I am just a normal human being, whose chosen spiritual and religious path is Wicca. |
