A Life To Live

The Eyes of a Skate Boarder

A life to a skate boarder is different then the normal person. A skater totally see's the world threw a different set of eyes. Such as a set of stairs, to a person its a way to get up from A to B. To a skater its a opportunity to try a new challenge. A hand rail that is used to hold on to and walk up is one of the most greatest challenges for a skate boarder. 5050, 5-0, Smith, Nose Grind, K grind, Salad, Tail Slide, Nose slide, Blunt, to people looks like a bunch of words put together. But to a skater there grinds that go from easy to harder. When you see a concrete ledge and it has wax all over it to a person they would have no idea what it is on that ledge. But to a skater means good skate spot and he/she must try and see how good it is.

The thought of not skate boarding-

By: Jesse Mika

Skating one of the greastest feelings to a skate boarder. Not a day goes by with out even skating. Have you ever thought what if I never started to skate board. Sometimes when you sprang or break or hurt yourself so bad that you cannot skate for a while. Each day is more pain then the last. It's not that you are hurt that gives you the most pain its knowing you cannot be out there skating. Doing the thing you love most of all in life. The doctor says "Stay in your cast for at least 2 weeks and no skate boarding for a few months" ,but you know that does not phase you. In less then a few days the cast is off and in a week your on your skate board weather it hurts or not. You cannot stand to not skate, as you sit there on a chair with a sprang the thought of what am i going to do, Flots across your head. As you watch your best friends skate and all you can do is sit there and think about how much it sucks to be hurt. When you get better the thought of being hurt goes to the back of your mind because you want to skate as much, and as good as you can until the next time comes around. The feeling of riding and poping a ollie or fliping a kick flip and slaming it down perfect is one of the greatest feelings in the world to a skater. Skating is more then just a hobbie it's life.
