The speech... and the after story

Some people must have know, some may have not, but my speech was associated with a very 'famous' movie. It's 'The girl next door' and it has a such a beautiful speech in the middle of the movie.
I tried to be somewhat like the main character in the movie, which I think eventually didn't work out.
I think only the people who saw the movie understood what I was trying to imply..
Oh well.. At least I left an impression on some of the people who knew what I was talking about.
It was worth the try. I've always liked making speeches, and it was the first time to make a speech ever since I came to high school.
The funny thing was, making a speech in front of all the 8th waves and 9th waves was less frightening than making a presentation in front of my classmates.
The contest was meaningful, and I can sense my moral fiber telling me that the "juice was worth the squeeze" : )
