Three year old Harry Montague has chicken pox. When his Aunt Alice goes to Revell Court to drag Harry's mother home, the young woman is in for the surprise of her life. Rather than the costume party she was expecting, she finds a depraved gathering of members of the ton. Alice's uninvited presence is about to plunge her into an adventure she won't easily forget.

Lord Lucien Knight, the younger of the Knight twins, is known as Lucifer, a nickname which serves him well at these gatherings. But Lucien isn't what he seems, for the parties are a cover for his real work. With Alice's arrival, Lucien believes an old enemy has sent someone to kill him. Despite his plans, Alice provides an unexpected challenge and diversion, one he can't ignore. Who will be the first to capture the formidable Knight?

Gaelen Foley knows how to jump into a story. From the first, Lord of Fire grabs your attention and holds it captive throughout this regency romance. Lucien has many secrets which prevent him from becoming close with anyone. When it comes to Alice, he finds he can't stay away from her, and pity the man who comes too close. There is also a sense of intrigue as Lucien tries to ferret out spies who betrayed the English during the war.

Lord Robert Knight and his wife, and the Knight's only sister Lady Jacinda, make a return visit in this character driven plot. As the ton dance their way through the social season, will Lucien complete his latest quest? You'll have to find out just how hot things can get with Lucien as the Lord of Fire.
