Megan Linders, a sophomore at Great Lakes High is starting 'a save the environment' club, The Better Earth Club. Megan begins recruiting members and one student she hopes will join is Kyle Patterson. Kyle is known as an environmentalist. Megan is very attracted to him, but she is too shy to let him know.

Kyle Patterson, a writer for the school newspaper notices Megan staring his way on more than one occasion. Will Kyle join Megan's earth club? Will they end up going steady?

HIS FRIDAY GIRLS is a romance story young adults can relate to since it takes place in high school. We all can remember being shy or know of someone who is shy. How do you to let a person know how you feel about them when you're shy? Melissa Ford's story weaves romance with concern for the environment, and how we must take a stand if we are to save the planet. The characters add to this wonderful story, in addition to showing ways of fighting for a healthier planet.

I highly recommend this story for young adults.
