Futuristic Romance
Setting: Sunny View, CA, Sha Ka 'an

Brittany Callaghan has trouble finding dates. A woman who is six feet tall and works on construction, can seem intimidating. Brittany meets her match when a gorgeous hunk of a seven foot tall stranger appears in her home, requiring assistance. Dalden Ly-San-Ter needs her help to capture a high king before the man can do any damage on earth.

Brittany isn't quite buying this, preferring to believe it's some movie production; Dalden is deadly serious. Seeing should be believing, but Brittany has a hard time accepting what she sees. She's thrilled to understand Dalden has made her his lifemate, although she fears they may have different understandings of the term. When he takes Brittany to his home world, she wants to believe it's nothing more than a huge movie set, because the reality is too much to accept.

Can Brittany come to terms with her future? Have she and Dalden made a big mistake in becoming lifemates?

Johanna Lindsey continues her warrior series with Dalden's story. Setting out to right a mistake he made in the past, Dalden finds help in the form of lovely Brittany. He's got his work cut out for him, not only in his mission to capture Jorran, but also to overcome Brittany's stubborn denial of the truth.

Heart of a Warrior explores the world of Sha Ka'an, and some of the descriptions might sound similar to something on earth. Descriptive scenes add to the romance, but further alienate the heroine. She's got a lot of preconceived notions to reconsider while she refuses to adapt to her new surroundings. Martha, who tops the list of secondary characters, is her usual witty self, and adds a touch of humor to the story.

Heart of a Warrior is the latest story in Ms Lindsey's futuristic series, and a pleasurable read you won't want to miss.
