Paradise is indeed cold when murder is on the agenda.

Allison Manning, now known as Elizabeth Harding, the widow of Winston Harding, has caught the eye of wealthy businessman Thad Shames. Liz wants to square away charges of insurance fraud and hires Stone to handle the negotiations with the insurance company. In the meantime it appears first husband Paul Manning is alive and well, and stalking Liz. The biggest complication is, no one knows what Manning looks like now.

Stone has his hands full, settling old debts for Liz, tracking down Manning and making security arrangements for her wedding with Thad, after a whirlwind courtship. But he also has his own personal problems in the form of a stalking wife, who isn't quite in her right mind.

Fast paced, believable characters and situations, keep this sequel to Dead In the Water, on the move. Leaving frigid New York for warm Palm Beach, Stuart Woods once again, plunges his favorite cop-turned-lawyer into another messy situation. False clues and some interesting secondary characters keep you guessing. Will Stone Barrington and ex-partner-best friend, Dino, solve this situation? You'll have to read the story to find out. You won't be disappointed.
