Picture this... You own a shoe company and you're on the road meeting with potential customers. Life isn't what you expected and you're wondering just what it is you've been missing. Ripley's a private investigator, on her first assignment, and she's figured the intruders are somehow involved in the missing person's case. Jumping into Joe Pruitt's bed wasn't such a good idea, but it wasn't all bad. She gets him mixed up in her search and they both find themselves on the run. Things get hot and heavy from here on out, while the unplanned team try to sort out clues and unexpected feelings. Will they solve the missing person case and wrap up their relationship?

Private Investigations is a tale of law and personal disorder. Joe and Ripley seem to be the most unlikely pair, but their escapades keep the story fast paced and provide great entertainment. At times, their growing relationship seems to get in the way of the investigation, but they always come down to earth long enough to solve the clues they find. Secondary characters provide the stimulus to keep Joe and Ripley on the move, as they end up in some unlikely places.
