Christine Sanders just had the (mis)fortune to overhear what her soon-to-be husband thinks of her, and his plans for her money. The ingenious miss, quickly makes plans of her own to get out of the unwanted marriage, and despite the fact things don't go quite according to plan, she manages to make her escape after her wedding night.

Gaining the help of her godfather, Julius Davies, Christine Sanders disappears, to be replaced by the pirate captain, Christopher Daniels. What a crew the infamous Captain Daniels leads, with the sole intent of stealing only from Delerue-Sanders Shipping. Will Chris get her money back, or will her hostage husband turn the tables on her?

Pirate's Price is a fun tale of piracy on the high seas with the most unlikely of crews. Ms Marshall employs a sense of humor to move the story forward using characters you don't ordinarily run into in these numbers. In one scene, she uses an old joke, but pulls it off nicely as narrative. The characters are amusing and believable, and hold your attention to the end of the story.

Justin Delerue, Lord Smithton, has his hands full, in more ways than one, as he tries to steal something from his wayward bride. It's a battle of wits, and the results could be very close. Is he willing to pay the Pirate's Price? This historical romance is a quick read, but one well deserving the time.
