When Phillip Rosemont was called home from his travels, to take up the title of Viscount, he found life rather boring. To create some excitement, he became the Orchid Thief. The challenge made life interesting, until one evening he met the Princess Eugenia d'Armand of Valdostok. Phillip knew right off, she was a fake, but she intrigued him just the same. Discovering she's a would be thief, adds even more spice to the situation.

Eve Stanhope becomes a 'princess' to gain entry to the homes of nobility, in the hope of stealing enough jewels to put her plan for revenge into action. She doesn't expect to be found out by the handsome viscount, who she wishes would just quietly go away. To keep her secret, she's forced to become partners with Phillip. He doesn't just steal jewels... the unlikely thief has stolen her heart. Can Eve see her way clear to complete her goals?

Alice Chambers has come up with a fun plot in her latest release. The story is witty, warm and wonderful. Phillip has a knack for talking his way out of just about any situation, leaving other characters confused, including his parents, but eventually he's in for a surprise. Eve can't afford to lose her heart to the man, and does her best to protect it from his manipulating ways.

Constable Chumley isn't as smart as he'd like others to believe and the good Doctor Kleckhorn is something else. They have some decidedly questionable ways to figure out who the thieves are. The dialogue is entertaining and descriptions will put you right in the scene of the crimes as they take place.

If you're looking for a light romance, Always a Princess will tickle your funnybone.
