Sea Story is not your typical novel. The format is written more like a journalized series of events taking place throughout the heroine's enlistment time. You meet Ross' male counterparts and discover how they feel about women in the military. The characters swap sea stories; some relate foolish actions, while others have hilarious results. The humor runs almost non stop throughout the story.
What do military people do when they're not on duty, or when on duty things are very quiet? The characters' sense of humor will have you laughing, and on occasion, you may wonder how some of them ever qualified for enlistment.
Sea Storyis entertaining, and presents the reader with some background information on the training which goes on. It also gets into some of the responsibilites of the Coast Guard, and the changes made in the late seventies, early eighties.
From first page to last, Sea Story is sure to capture your interest and imagination.
