Lovely, that's the word for this writer's latest novel! Don't miss any of her works!

Trust and love are inherent capacities we possess when we're born. Years pass and this innocence ebbs and flows depending on the circumstances of familiar and passing people and events. Here's a splendid contemporary romance written by an author who isn't afraid to clearly portray what makes those pure traits loom large into a heavenly existence or diminish into a barren hell. Mary McGuire truly knows this terrain that continues to fascinate romance readers and human beings everywhere!

Laney Johnson, a fourth-grade teacher and very talented artist, is flying to an artist's paradise, Hawaii. Midair she meets Paul Westfield, an off-duty pilot also on his way for some rest and recreation in this beautiful, idyllic state. Both immediately sense a deep attraction but each also carries reservations temporarily suspended. McGuire creates a superb, panoramic view of the emotional and physical landscapes encountered on this potent journey.

Drawn into the main character's deepening magnetic bond, the reader shares their delight in the island's rich and subtle vistas, culinary delights and compulsively romantic splendor. This author definitely has an artist's eye and sensory awareness that miss nothing about people and places. The reader is quickly drawn into this world and compelled to keep reading.

Timeless issues arise herein but call us to let go of their bondage. Can a betrayed woman learn to move beyond wracking pain to trust again? Will that fiercely protective, parental love allow someone else to share and even enrich the world of a very special child? How do caution and terror imprison or free human beings? Are other relationships meaningful life lessons or just temporary driftwood to be discarded after brief exploration? Is erotic passion an insignificant appetite to be exploited and forgotten or a significantly evolving part of life's connections that serves to enhance every other experience? These questions quietly await your answers as you travel Laney and Paul's journey of emerging curiosity, threatening hesitation and enriching, determined hope of a wonderful future together.

This reader loves this writer's sense of integrity! No, she doesn't offer us a sermon or empty platitudes about these characters fully engaged in savoring every aspect of life and love. Yes, there are disturbing disappointments and frank admission of mistakes made, which every reader may admit having experienced, or known in realistic family, friends and acquaintances. However, one is left with a satisfying feeling upon reaching the last page of this quaint, untrivialized tale.

Buy this novel and relish a well-told, romantic story! You will conclude, indeed, that it is a time to trust!
