Lenore can't get the low seductive voice out of her head. It haunts her dreams and begs her to come to him. Finally giving in, she follows the voice to a cave where she and her friend Caroline used to escape to play. To her shock, she finds a naked stranger who needs help, if he's to survive his injuries. Lenore wants to run, but something won't let her. A connection between herself and the stranger demands answers, and she won't get them if she leaves.

Jonallo, is from another time and place. As leader of an Octad, he and his companions have come to earth to find a criminal from their home. His injuries have slowed him down, but with Lenore's help, he makes a quick recovery. Jon must find the other members of his Octad before time runs out. Lenore fills in the gaps in his knowledge of her world and reluctantly agrees to help him. Can she cope with this stranger's admissions and the truth about herself?

Judy Gill has written a marvelous futuristic tale. Telepathy plays an important in this story, and Lenore often wishes she could get the Octad members out of her mind. Jon learns the truth about Lenore's past, despite her refusal to believe him.

Sensual and occasionally humorous, Whispers On the Wind explores another world through Jon's memories. These memories are descriptive and colorful, and take you on an imaginative, 'you are there' journey. (You kind of hate to return to the present.) Secondary characters may be lost for a while, but they offer strong contributions when they do begin interacting with the plot.

If you listen carefully to Whispers On the Wind, you might find a world of surprises waiting for you.
