Delilah Haskell Trent is the new heiress to Haskell Hall. Lil, as she prefers to be called, doesn't know about the curse which goes with the inheritance. The servants aren't talking about the last heiress's untimely death; neither do they have much to say about the strange estate manage. Lil is attracted to the man, but at the same time doesn't understand the underlying danger he seems to exude. What is his secret, and what happened to the last heiress?

Ian Griffith isn't pleased to see the new owner of Haskell Hall. Haskells and Griffiths have been bitter enemies for many years. Both he and Lil are the last of their respective lines. The secrets he holds will either become known or die with him. He has to admit, Lil is a tempting woman. Can he scare off this beautiful American and send her packing, before disaster traps her?

The Wolf of Haskell Hall is a mesmermizing tale of love and curses. Lil may not realize what she's walked into, but she isn't one to back off easily. Her fascination for Ian is a new experience, and what comes of it is unexpected. Both Lil and Ian are strong main characters, dealing with a past they don't fully understand, but are not so quick to accept.

Secondary characters provide subplots of their own, at the same time giving full support to Lil and Ian's story. Jeremy and Safira are from different cultures, but each in their own way, tries to protect Lil. Shelly is a strong and independent woman, who is unwittingly drawn into the curse.

Twists and turns keep you reading, wanting to find out more. The curse, at times, makes parts of the story subtly erotic. The love scenes are not overly graphic, taking into consideration the type story.

Colleen Shannon's marvelous story of The Wolf of Haskell Hall, sets the pace for Leisure's new line of Gothic tales.
