6/12/00 Cabin Fever.

I'm not sure if i have ever seen a real torrent before, but the weather this weekend had to be close. It rained hard for the entire weekend... buckets of rain... non-stop.

We were trapped in close quarters with one another, slowly getting on each other's nerves. The kids refused to go outdoors, opting instead for indoor fight-to-the-death gladiator games. Worse yet, Barrick; a neighbor kid decided that he should spend every waking hour with his new best buddy...me. All I gotta say is Thank the lord for Super Nintendo...it saved some kids from bodily harm this weekend.

On Saturday I blew a gasket.
Cameron and Calvin were at each other's throats over a "KISS" tapestry that got pulled off a door by Calvin...What ensued was absolute mayhem. I put an end to the riot by spanking all parties involved. Frontier Justice.

Sunday was more of the same except that Calvin and I went with Carla and Yogi to the YMCA and played Basketball for over 2 hours.. I think it was the break I needed... and I think everybody appreciated having Me and the Kid out of the house for a few hours.

In true procrastinator form, I put off finishing the design package (that was due at noon today) until the very last moment... and then worked all night last night. Yup , I got the 13 page/8 graphic design package done... and presented it during lunch. TOUCHDOWN!

A happy ending to a weekend in which I was pretty depressed...over distractions yet to be revealed.
how's that for a cliff-hanger?
