Somebody slap me. Quick.
I might be loosing the mental chess match, and that is exactly what this is. Here is a rough chronology of facts and my muddled thinking.
THURSDAY-
FACT:The doctor talked to Monica on the phone, and told her that there needed to be another meeting between the Doc, Monica, and me. The Doc wasn't specific, and never set an appointment for "the confrontation". Monica ends up with 20 pills that were prescribed in my name (with 2 refills). Monica cooks dinner for the first time in probably a month.
KEN'S HEAD:I think Monica knows what this is all about. I believe that she is on a campaign to get me on "her side".
FRIDAY-
FACT:I finally went to bed at 2am, and was woken up by Monica at 3:30, and 5:30. I called in sick...
KEN'S HEAD:I think Monica is trying to convince me and herself how "serious" her hip and leg pain is (yeah, I know, it was backpain until the MRI cameback clear). Monica wonders outloud if it might be M.S. or Fibro Myalgia. Monica's Mother has been "on my side", telling me that "Monica needs help.", but now, she provides me with no support. She is convinced that Monica's back/hip/leg pain is real.
SATURDAY-
FACT:Calvin has a buddy spend the night, and the house needs to be cleaned. Monica gets a refill on the pills, and is a cleaning/shopping machine. She even gives me some "other pills" to hold for her to make her be more "responsible" with her perscription
KEN'S HEAD:Uh, I don't know.... Is she trying to show me how great life is when she is "happy"? Problem? What problem?
SUNDAY-
FACT:Near the end of the day, Monica is slipping back towards immobility. She asks me to call her doctor, and convey concern over the situation.
KEN'S HEAD:Is she really in pain like her Mother now believes? Should I ask Monica's doctor to grant Monica a reprieve? Am I getting manipulated? I can't believe this crap works on me.
