Garden Party

Part I,  Sowing the Seeds

The setting is:  two men are sitting around a table in the nursing home where they live.  One man, the older of the two, is nearing death and so he often drifts into that realm where those who've passed on now live.  He starts off by relating to his companion of his latest visit.

So, I turned to Anwar Sadat the other day and said, "How's your garden?"
He said, "When I was on Earth, I started planting the seeds of peace, but a war broke out, instead.  Then one day while I was tending the garden, someone shot and killed me, and that's how I ended up here in heaven."
So I said to him, "Have you ever thought that you should have planted wheat instead?"
