this is about bodies; my body, your body, animal body: ever since bodies have sustained injuries and disabling internal conditions there have been physicians and metaphysicians who have strived to help the person be restored to wellness. there is a great need to re-think this most-important practise. I've nothing against restoring to wholeness a body that has its integrity damaged, such as when a bone breaks through the skin or a limb is severed completely, this is a matter of keeping the body in its best condition for its continued survival. what I do object to is the invasive surgery which is done for excising a tumor or for "heart bypass" or for removing diseased organs. the "success" of surgeries has led certain individuals and certain hospitals to believe that breaking into a body which is currently intact and removing an organ or a tumor is the best solution for a patient. it is not. the Person has established this situation for himself or herself and is the ONLY one who can know what this means to him or her. rather than employ means which cut the skin, invade the body, remove or manipulate body tissue the attending medicine man or woman can ask the person what he or she wants from this outcome, then aid in helping the person attain that. remember: the body is the temple of the spirit! to not take to damaging this temple with instruments that divide and separate! a person's body needs to keep its sense of wholeness. that is paramount! |
