As a resident, you are provided with a room in the castle. Your meals and room are free... if you need anything, you need only ask. You are taken care of to a certain extent... please read "Warning" Rooms in the northwing.

When we say "all" humans are residents, we are slightly exaggerating. Not ALL humans apply to the perminate resident rule. Some humans, such as Mages, are not such a threat because they already know about vampires and world of darkness. Some humans are treated the same as vampires because of their nature. If you think you're an 'exception' talk to the Prince and find out for sure.

A resident is a person not allowed to leave the island, mainly humans. As a resident, you may roam the island and mingle as you choose; but, you may not have contact with anyone outside the island, no weapons, and you may not leave the island. If you try to leave the island, contact the outside, or do anything stupid, such as trying to kill the prince... you will be imprisoned and/or killed. Not ALL mortal humans are Residents, please read "Exceptions"

I feel compelled to warn you mortal humans of some conditions of being a resident. Though you are taken care of, such as food, clothing, and a room, you may not necesarily be protected against the citizens. I would suggest that you gain citizen allies, to further insure you're saftey. No creature is obligated to be 'nice' to you, nor obligated to let you live. Some characters may try to intimidate you, torment you, abuse you, violate you, enslave you, kill you, or even turn you. Others may befriend you, ignore you, love you, protect you, or what may. Just be warned, that it is your choice to play a human resident and i will not be responsible for the horid attemps at your characters life and sanity.

A resident can be 'claimed' by a citizen. Which means that the resident becomes their slave quite literally, and becomes the citizens responsability and problem. Being claimed can most often minimize the abuse and damage that may occur to your character, and it 'can' lead to becoming a citizen. Only citizens with OPs or a regular may claim a resident. If their is a problem incharacter about it, you may take the matter to the Prince, and ONLY the Prince.

Further more, YOU CHOSE to be a mortal in this channel, despite the warning. A player does NOT need your out-of-character approval to harm, violate, kill, or enslave your character. So don't complain to me or the Ops. Just play along or don't play a mortal human character. Just have fun, I've even played a few mortals here and there, the challenge and experience is enlightning!

Citizens are those allowed to come and go from the island as they please. They are giving a coded card that allows free transport. Anyone found with a stolen card, will be hunting down and killed unmercifully. Any new visitor to the island starts is immediantely taken to the Visiter Center (click the link below for more). A resident human can become a citizen by being embraced or something to that effect, but ONLY if your Master/Mistress allows it. An illegal embrace does not COUNT. Which means, the embrace of a resident must get authorized.
