Most people know about High School Band. They march around a football field, play music, etc.  Well there are more indepth activities that are growing every year.  Like the Drum Corps that have existed for over 30 years, Winter Guard thats existed for around 30 years, and a newer Winter Percussion thats reached its official age of 10 years and 5 more years of local competition.         I currently participate in an Independent World Class Winter Percussion Unit.  This Group, Music City Mystique, has truly set the standard of shows in the past 10 years of its existence. The influence Mystique has had on the activity is astounding and when I think of the shows Ive seen and participated in Im left in awe.  Ive had the honor of marching last winter season with the pit, and I recently auditioned and made the Cymbal Line for this coming season.        Being this group has totally turned my life around. Ive expanded my appretiation for art, Ive got a chance to perform in crowds of 10,000+, and Its given me a future I can look forward to.  This new season looks to be a phenomenal show.  McM seems to be returning to its roots and were putting on a show that the average Joe can understand yet we look to blow away everyperson in the audience.
