There was something about today
a certain ringing in the air
a something that may or not have been there
but it was today
Perhaps it was nothing, that something
for many somethings turn into nothings
and many large things turn out as small things
but it was something
and it was today
Maybe I remember something I had not known
or learned somthing I had forgotten
for many unknown things are really just forgotten
but I learned something today,
In retrospect, did it really matter today?
maybe it could have happend everyday
mayby it was nothing special at all
but it was there today
It matters not what day it happened
it could have happend any day
for many things that are important start out on a regular day
but this time it was today
There was something about today
a something in the air on the breeze
a something new in the way things seemed
but it was probably nothing
There was somehting about today
in the way things looked and seemed
as if i could see things differently
but only for today
There was something about today
that could have happend anyday
and although it was only for today
it made today today,
and not another yesterday.
