But If Tomorrow Never Comes

I fell in love with an angel. On Eagle’s wings he came to me. He opened his heart and gave freely of his love. My heart he did capture. But if tomorrow never comes I’ll never know the fulfillment of his love. He came into my life and washed away my fears. He filled my heart with so much joy. My spirits he did lift. But if tomorrow never comes I’ll never know these joys again. Quicker than he came to me He quietly went away. Life without him is a never-ending pain. But if tomorrow never comes this pain it just won’t end. The stars have lost their sparkle. The rainbow it’s many colors. The sky is gray above me filled with clouds of tears. But if tomorrow never comes the earth will be covered with a sea of tears. Since he went away, my heart has broken, scattered into many pieces. Super glue just can not mend. The why is still a mystery. But if tomorrow never comes my heart will never heal. Copyright © moonlightflower, 2001
