| Altar |
| The Altar is the first thing you'll need in the a magickal working, it has two purposes, a place to keep your ritual tools and the focus of your magical work.The altar should always face the East or South or at the center. The right side of the altar is dedicated to the God, a red, yellow or gold candle along with bolline, censer, athame,wand and a bowl of salt are usually placed there. The left side is for the Goddess, tools sacred to her are usually placed there... cup, pentacle, bell, crystal, cauldron and a bowl of water should be placed there. A green, silver or white candle can be substituted for the image of the Goddess. The besom may be laid at the left side of the altar as the cauldron can be placed on the floor at the left of the altar if there is no room on the top. |
