| This is a New Tradition created to follow Via Noctem or the Path of the Night. Philosophies and Beliefs There is a Supreme Being who is All, Manifesting in Ways we understand. Both a Goddess and a God and appears in images and faces that we can understand the most. In this Path, It is the Goddess most revered for She is the First who came out of the Dark. Everyone in this Path is called Brethen, for they too possesses the same Spirit of the Goddess as you do. The Shadow must be embraced to achieve wholeness. Only in Darkness can we truly see the Light The Shadow moves as you move, and in this Principle, Causality is observed- Consequences are faced immediately. In Darkness we conceal ourselves, in the Dark we learn the mysteries. In the Beginning there is Darkness and the Night. Life stirs in Darkness before it emerges into the Light. There is a Veil that exist to hinder our Sight; in the Night where the Dark equals the Other Side, the Veil is at its thinnest. In Darkness, movement, transitions and changes exist. In this World of Darkness, we seek to understand Existence. There is only Progression and no Regression of the Spirit; the Cycle continues-after the Dark, Light appears. Only when we are at the Deepest Darkest part of our Lifr, we appreciate its value, we recognize its beauty. We see the errors of our ways. We contemplate. In the Dark we face our fears, in the Dark we gain strength. We are the All and the All is in each one of us. Practices The Works are more on Vision Questing, Banishing, Summoning, spell Crafting, Changes, Overcoming Obstacles, Conjuring, Destroying Addiction and Diseases, Spirit Work, Divination, Knowledge and Transformations. Sacred Days The Dark of the Moon is considered Most Sacred of its Phases, Saturday the Most Sacred of Days, Dusk the Most Sacred Time of the Day and the Feast of Shadows (Oct 31) as its most Sacred Feast. However, there are no restrictions on doing Sacred Works during other time. Pantheon There is no specific Pantheon, the Dark is honored therefore all Gods and Goddesses of the Dark of the Moon are revered. Possible Paths of Knowledge to be studied Divination, Necromancy, Thaumaturgy, Psychic Works, Questing, Conjuration and Spirit Summoning Initiation Initiation happens on the First Dark Moon, a year after the Service to the Dark Goddess is fulfilled. There are five levels of Initiation, which will happen three months each after the first. Clergy There is no Central High Priest or Priestess, in every Work, One will be appointed by the Inner Circle to lead the ceremony. The Fellowship There are two groups- The Inner Circle, which comprises of all the 1st degree Initiates up to the Fifth and the Outer Courts, which comprises of the Dedicants (not yet Initiated into the Path) |
