Rules |
Rule Number 1: Always treat your oppenets with respect. This is one of the most important (if not the most) rule of SA. The people we play should be treated in a kind and courteous manner. If your opponets are rude to you, do not be rude back to them. What would that accomplish? It would only show that you can stoop to their level. If someone taunts you, ask them to stop, walk away from the game, or simply ignor them. If someone makes accusations about your ability to play, simply ask them to join you in a game to settle the difference. If you win, say "good game." if you lose, also say "good game," and then congratulate them. However, if you are playing such a game that you feel your opponet is not playing fairly (either by taunting or by hacking), ask them to stop. If they do not stop, leave the game. Rule Number 2: Do not use foul language. This rule should be pretty clear. Following rule #1 requires following rule #2. There is absolutely no excuse for a SA member to swear or use profanity. If you believe that you are just too impulsive not to stop yourself from typing a foul word, then you don't belong in SA. And, you may ask, what is foul language? If you are old enough to play online games, then you are old enough to understand right and wrong. If you can't distinquish foul language from the appropriate, then once again, SA is not for you. Rule Number 3: Hacks are never allowed. Any hacks (gaming or otherwise) which inflict damage onto another computer or break the rules of Battle.Net are never allowed (and probably illegal). The use of such hacks are grounds for a immediate dismissal from SA. Rule Number 4: Do not make unfounded accusations. If you believe someone is cheating, kindly ask them if they are. If they say yes, ask them to stop. If they refuse just leave the game without further comment. Never outright accuse someone of cheating, even if you are very sure that they are. When you "assume" all the time, you may end up being incorrect and angering them, when in fact, they have done nothing wrong. Rule Number 5: The "spirit" of the code is what's important. Do not try to find loopholes in this code so that you can act irresponsibly. This is not a code like the IRS code, but more of a guideline. If you legitimately feel that a rule of this code is unclear then ask some of the higher up poeple in the clan. If they do not know, then ask the leader Darth Cariss. Rule Number 6: You are always part of SA. Even if you are playing with a name other then your SA name, you are still bound to this code. Using a non-SA name is not an excuse to disobey the conduct code. Rule Number 7: Have fun! Always remember, it's only a game. Online gaming is ment to be fun. Why take it so seriously, when the real world has much which needs to be delt with that way? Just enjoy gaming for what it is. Rule Number 8: Recruitment. Only Sith Lords and above can recruit new members into SA. If you are under the rank of Sith Lord and still want to recruit somebody you must first ask permission of a Sith Lord or above. The best way to do this is A: Post on the Message Board saying that you want to recruit a member and then wait for a Sith Lord or above to say it is alright, or B: Contact (either by e-mail or by other means) a Sith Lord or above and ask if you can recruit a new member. The best person for this would be the leader, Darth Cariss. |
