Taking a Stand

How could you say something like that? What age were you born in? You know what, Mr. Stamper? I've kept my mouth shut long enough and I am sick and tired of the way you speak. (Pause.) What did you do? What did you do? A slew of racial slurs has escaped your lips since I've known you. You think that all African Americans come from the 'hood', you assume that every Latino man is an illegal alien, and you are completely convinced that the entire Asian race are bad drivers. Your mouth is filled with every offence to any race other than Caucasian. Now, I know I've worked here a little while, and I may be a "grunt worker", but I have heard enough. If these are your beliefs, that's fine. But, please refrain from expressing them so loudly in my presence. You may be my boss but, nowhere in my qualifications does it say I have to put up with this. You have done your best to offend me as well as others. (Pause) I know that what I've said may have just cost me my job Dan, but you know what? That really bites. But, if I have to work in an atmosphere like this, I quit.
