I am Tiki
Hello. I am Tiki. I am a 9 month old Blue and Gold Macaw. Mommy and Daddy got me from a nice couple who had to many birds and too little time. I was the one that had to go because I demand ALOT of attention and alot of affection. If I don't get it I will scream until I do! I am doing very well here. Mom and Dad spoil me rotten. When I first arrived, I couldn't say a thing. Now some of my favorite words are:
"Hi Tiki"
"NO"
"Hi There"
"Step Up"
"Shut Up"
Now, I only say shut up to my brother Lancelot. He tries to take all the attention. We argue ALL the time, but he does share his food with me. My room is a HUGE cage that has a dome top. It has a swing, Alot of perches, and of course LOT'S and LOT'S of toys. I love to chew, so They always buy me new ones.
I really don't like mirrors. When I see one I puff up and try to attack it. My favorite thing in the world is Dancing. My momma bought me this musical piano and when she plays it I bop right along to the music. We all laugh and laugh. It gives me and my brother Alex something to do together. My favorite foods consist of Peanuts, Apricot bites, Shredded Wheat, French Fries and I LOVE spaghetti. If I see someone with my favorite food, Why, I walk all the way over to where they are and help myself to what is on there plate.  Please take a moment to check out my photo's. I hope to see you check back again, as my page is always updated.
Enjoy your visit!
DID YOU KNOW
~ The Blue and Gold Macaws come from Eastern Panama in Central America, South America extending to Boliva, Brazil and Paraguay.

~ They are one of the larger Macaw species. Weighing over 2 pounds and are 34 inches in length.

~ A Macaws beak can exert 40 pounds of pressure.

~ The black feathers around their face is very much like a finger print. All birds have a different marking, making each one unique.

~ The bare skin around their face can "Blush" like a human, when they are excited.

~ This isn't a bird for a first time bird owner as they need lot's of attention. They are not a parrot cage bird, They need a Tree or perch to play on, and should always be supervised as they are very prone to be mischievous.
