Acting is Great!
Hi, My name is Damien Barber and I love acting!  I have been in quite a few plays and I am only 18.  I just finished working on a pilot for a sit-com.

Acting should be fun.  If you are going to be an actor, you have to have fun doing it.  To me it is a lot of fun, though it takes hard work and dedication.

I would like to say something about my first Drama Teacher, and the first Director that I ever worked with,
Joe Petrolia.  He taught me everything I know about theatre, though I already had "the natural ability to act," as he has said to me on more than one occasion.  He taught me all about acting, and has inspired me to become a great actor.
Plays That I have Been In Featured Tip:
In trying to memorize lines, you should take it one page at a time.  Learn that page and go on.  Once who have memorized that page go back throught both the last page and that page.  Continue for the rest of the play.

Ad Lib- making things up that are not in the script.  This can be used in the case of someone forgetting a line or something else going wrong.  Sometimes the writer of a play will write in an ad lib section..  This means for everyone to start talking in a jumbled mess until a certain time when someone breaks it up.
