Damien Barber

Hi. My name is Damien Barber. I am 25 years old, and I live in Montgomery, AL, but I am from Cocoa. I am 5' 6" with dark brown hair and blue eyes. I went to college instead of my senior year of highschool, and I took AP English during my junior year. I started going to church regularly a little over a year ago and I was baptized on June 13th, 2001. I am a graduate of Faulkner University and am currently looking for a preaching or youth ministry job. I currently attend a house church in Montgomery, AL. I am married to a beautiful women, Valerie, who is finishing up her Master's in Elementary Education.

I love acting, writing, speaking French, chatting on the Internet, playing sports, and playing chess. I am also interested in philosophy. I also like to watch wrestling. I enjoy hanging out with people from my Church, especially the Youth Group and I enjoy singing hymns (even though I'm not that great of a singer) and studying the word.
I just started learning to play the recorder. I started many years ago, but couldn't do it very well, so I quit. I have moved onto playing the keyboard. I really enjoy playing the keyboard, or piano, or organ, and everybody enjoys listening to me play. At workcamp last yeari was playing the piano in the chapel at night and people started coming in and even dancing while I played.

My mom and step dad live in Ohio (but who knows when they will move again... lol. I have a half-sister who lives in NC and is a professional photographer and I have a half-brother and another half-sister who live in England. They are all way older than me. God has blessed me with so many friends from back in my old youth group, from Faulkner, and from several churches that I have been a member at. Some of my best friends from back in Rockledge include Mary, Justin, & Jacob. Some of my best friends from Faulkner include Brandon, Nathan, Preston, Noah, Kyle and my friends in Sigma (a social club, of which I am an honorary member). My best friend in the whole world is of course my wife, Valerie.
