Making Concord clip bottoms hair safe This may not make them completely hair safe, but much better than without.  I hear that Ficcare clips are completely hair safe, but I have never owned one, so I cannot say.  This clips are all the regular no-particular-brand ones.

Cut felt to the appropriate size.  Big enough to wrap around the back portion of the clip.  A color of felt darker than your hair will keep it from showing when you wear it.

Wrap felt around back portion of clip, and pin it closed close to the clip.

Hand or machine sew a line right where the pins are.  You will sew until the line runs off of the felt, then cut the tip off at an angle as shown here (the longer side on the inside of the clip, away from the sewn seam).  You want this angle, and to leave a small part of the tip exposed because it will help the clip slide into your hair.

This is also removeable, so one can be used for many clips, providing they are the same length. (These are different). You won't be able to see the felt when wearing most styles.  It prevents hair from getting bent between the sharp edges that many of these types of clips have.

There is felt on this clip, which you cannot see.  This is just one way to wear these, do a french twist and slide the back portion under your hair, leaving the front portion to just pinch the edge of the twist.  I've worn this style all day without it coming loose.  If your hair is very long, you can always twist the part closest to your head, and leave the tail hanging down.
