Unsuprisingly 9 episodes shot 20 years ago, however good it is, isn't generating new material but the site is still alive.
If anyone has anything they wish to add or suggest please let me know.

NEW

Sorry, I still haven't got around to doing the transcript. I've made many of the pages more friendly for browsers other than explorer, especially firefox.

30/12/07
Staff at the BBC have given me permission to put a transcript of The Cult Of up. When I have some time I will transcribe it and update the site. The props and merchandise pages have had a bit of a play and I've removed some dead links from other pages. Unfortunately one of them is starcops.com. I hope Richard can get it back online, especially as there was mention of a new interview. As apparently the last of the star cops sites still up I have glamourised my banner! Before anyone comments Shoun isn't being snubbed, I ran out of room and energy. Theroux is staring up into space... If I can get a good pic I'll probably attack the problem again but I was quite pleased with the result.

Having looked at the previous updates, what now appears to be a 6 monthly itch returned. A multitude of emails to various personages returned virtually no result. I am currently waiting for the BBC to get back in contact with me regarding use of "The Cult Of..." material on the website.
A couple of pages have been updated e.g. the Star Cops books are no longer for sale (I now regret not purchasing another copy when the cover fell off). The main changes on this occasion is to the story pages which have been reorganised and new pictures added. The star field one on the intro I found on my system and haven't a clue where I got it from. Otherwise it is the result of my own unsteady hand.

Andy who worked at the BBC kindly sent me an email and included some pic's. The props page has now been updated accordingly.

The Cult of Star Cops has just finished.

I didn't have high expectations for the program. When Chris Boucher, Trevor Cooper and some generic sci fi commentator appeared I thought I was right. No new speakers indicating a lack of effort. Wrong. More guest speakers appeared. I was most satisfied with the appearances of David Calder and Evigny Gridneff. I was fascinated to see, despite my belief to the contrary, David was very positive about the show. Both Chris and Trevor gave interesting additions to what they have said before. I had hoped they may have unearthed something else about Death on the Moon. But this was only mentioned in passing.

Well done to those involved.

The Cult of... Star Cops
Series looking at cult sci-fi recalls late 80s BBC series Star Cops, centred around the adventures of the International Space Police Force in the year 2027 - a team officers from all over the world led by Nathan Spring. Their job was to investigate thefts, sabotage, and kidnappings in a battle to make their lunar settlement a crime-free zone. Interviews with cast and crew give an insight into how hard the actors, and even the hairdressers, worked.

It appears BBC4 will commence showing a series about Britsh Sci-Fi in November called The Story of Britsh Sci-Fi. Of the six shows to be covered one is Star Cops!

Official Press Release

Well there's a few things in this update; Bob kindly sent me an email containing the lyrics of the theme song ages ago. I've finally got around to posting it and it can be found via the merchandise page. I've also transcribed episode 4, Trivial Games and Paranoid Pursuits. It's a bit rough in places but Phew, it was a lot of effort. I can only say well done Cinderz on your 3. Anyway I hope somebody finds it useful.
The props page has been very popular so I managed to find some details and a picture of the Star Cops costumes from the 1992 auction catalogue. Not as popular has been the Star Cops gamebook story. Despite that, having left it for 18 months, I've added a bit to it. A couple of other pages have been added to or altered in smaller ways.

16/07/05
I found an obituary online regarding the death of Jonathan Adams; the actor who played Krivenko. This was confirmed by IMDb. My condolences to his family and friends.

22/04/05
Added a short extract of an interview with Chris Boucher back in 1994.

31/12/04
The bases page has now had its turn.

01/12/04
The vehicles page has had an update, lots of pics.

26/11/04
All new pictures added to the episode pages. Hopefully the linking will now work in Mozilla.

11/11/04
The Star Cops DVD has arrived. Fanfare please....
I've watched the extras so far and whilst not always on topic they are still interesting. I've just discovered some of the episode pages don't link properly so I will sort it out whilst adding some better pictures.

08/09/04
As you've probably heard the Star Cops DVD release date has slipped. From what has been said this will only be a short delay. To cheer you up I've added a full page DVD advert to the merchandise page.

13/07/04
The DVD is available for preorder. For details of the extras see the merchandise page.

27/03/04
The third episode transcript is now on line.

24/02/04
Well the transcript of the second episode has been up for a while and due to the kindness of the Radio Times I am pleased to say their Star Cops interview is now on this site!

12/02/04
Yahoo club member Cinderz has kindly said I can use her episode transcripts on the web page. I appreciate the amount of work it took and I am very grateful. I have managed to correct a couple of bits but if you see any mistakes please let me know. Lots of other sites have transcripts from different shows and it seems that unless you make it into a novel you are OK. The others will follow in a while as I'm busy.

07/02/04
Added latest information regarding the star cops DVD release to the merchandise page.
Later the same day.......Rewrote the bits about the DVD to make it more readable and deleted the nonrelevant portions!

20/12/03
Added the last couple of entries to complete what should have been posted on the story last time. I've added html links to the entries which was an exercise in tedium. I have changed some of the clue letters and numbers around but I've learnt a bit from the exercise and shouldn't need to swap any of the existing material around now. I've had no feedback for the story and it's taking a back seat to other things I'm doing.

12/12/03
I have combined all the prop elements from the various pages on the site, plus my posts to the yahoo group and created a props page with it all in one place. I have also added 2 scans of star cops badges that I own which I hope will be of use to those attempting to replicate the costumes.

15/11/03
Just to show I'm still alive I've put some bits about props on the merchandise page.

13/07/03
I have now finished the move to www.oocities.org/thestarcopssite. To celebrate I've finally put something on the settings-character page, this will be added to later as I'm saving watching the series again till the DVD's are released. The Trevor Cooper interview has been added. I've added details of how to get copies of the video cover art onto the merchandise page. Various little bits have been expanded or redone.
Now, this is more like it.

Damm peaked too early.

15/06/03
Added a banner to the links pages. And no, I'm not very artistic.

01/06/03
Keeping the excitement to a minimum at this stage. I used Dr Watson to improve the HTML of the site http://watson.addy.com/
Barring the character sheet and the bits yahoo adds, the site appears to be compliant.....NOW!
You'll have to stand by for even more riveting updates. Never mind, the suspense is unlikely to kill you.

Well it's a bit late in the day, as I've basically finished, but here is an update page just in case.
