Homeschooling Links

from the

Story Making Mother

What this site does...
This is a quick overview of my favorite way to school – home education. It means extending early childhood influences into the rest of the growing up years. If you like spending time with your kids, you'll probably want to consider it.

Why we chose certain links…

Some sites helped me to overcome the fear that I wasn’t good enough to homeschool. I learned it's more about who you love--God and your children--than about being good.

Great advice…in brief…

Commit yourself to seeing at least the first half year through. Be realistic—even if Junior’s a genius, don’t push him beyond what is fair.

Why did we leave out sites?

The websites I have listed here will get you wondering, thinking and planning. You can find the big ones, but these are get you started. Some of us lack patience, support, and  money. These sites can help.

How to make it work…

In every category of struggle, I have lived the drama--two or three at a time. Keep track of these links--even if you don’t need them now.
