Theta Tau Omega's History
Theta Tau Omega, organized in September 1968, consisted of eight founding sisters and thirteen charter sisters.  Ms. Constance Ward accepted advisorship of the sorority.
The inter-Sorority Council and subcommitte on student organizations granted permission to Theta Tau Omega to perform as a proposed sorority on November 13, 1968 and January 10, 1969 respectively.  Acting as a proposed sorority, temporary officers were elected and committees were formed to begin construction of the constitution.
Theta Tau Omega received probationary status on May 13, 1969.  The sorority was also granted provisional on February 23, 1970 by the subcommittee on student organizations.
Permanent statue was obtained on October 15, 1970.  In November 1998, Theta Tau Omega celebrated thirty years at Bloomsburg University.
