The Stompers is a traditional style jazz band, based at Therfield School in Leatherhead, Surrey. The band began as a five piece New Orleans style group in February 1998, but grew to a seven piece line-up which became well known in the area.
Due to members leaving for higher education, September 1999 saw a new group of six.

Despite most of the band currently being in higher education, they met up in September 2001 for a suprise 'Thankyou Concert' in gratitude of the work of Chris Pratt, and are currently looking at another concert in December 2002, so watch this space!!
