| Lan Media On our Lan we will be using certain type of cabeling for certain reason such as cost and speed. For the Router to the MDF electrioin media we will be using Cat 5 because of the cost and the speed that is needed is not very high for this connection. From the MDF electronics to IDF electronics media we will be using Fiber Optic Cable(FDDI) the cost is high but the speed will be greatly needed. IDF electronics to classroom electronics media we will be using Cat 5 cable once again because of the cost and speed needed to keep a good network. Finally from the IDF (or MDF) to Administrative workstatioins/devices media we will be using to lines of Cat 5 cabeling so the admin can always be asured to have a reliable connection to the internet because of his importance of his adminstration. |
