Women & Children in Nazi Germany
In Nazi Germany, Hitler wanted every level of German society to be connected with the miltary and in effect be militarised.  He wanted even young children to be like this and founded the Hitler Youth for the Boys and the Young Maidens for the Girls.  Hitler believed this would toughen up the children who would inherit the Third Reich in the future.
The Hitler Youth was a mixture of Sport and War Games.  Boys would practice shooting, Physical Exercise and would attend Mass Rallies at places such as Nuremburg (See Propaganda).
By 1935 60% of German boys were included in the Hitler Youth.  On his 10th Birthday a boy was eligable to join the "German Young People" and when he was 13 was a member of the Hitler Youth until he was 18, when he graduated.  From the age of 18 he was a member of the Nazi Party.
The League of German Girls taught girls their place in society, domestic duties and about motherhood.
Women Had a very specific role.  Hitler said that their job was to raise good, "Racially pure" German Citizens.  On coming to power, Thousands of women who held high positions were sacked, this was because Hitler said that a woman's place was in the home.
"The Lowest Form of male is much, much higher than the noblest female." said Adolf Hitler.  In 1933 Hitler put into practice an act which gave newly wed couples a 1000 Mark loan.  This loan was not paid back.  Instead For every child the couple had 25% of the loan was paid off until all was paid off.  800,000 Couples took advantage of this offer.  The Nazi's did this so that there would be enough "Pure" German soldiers.
