Siwa is literally in the middle of nowhere. It's at least 5 hours South of Marsa Matruh. It's only 80 Km East of the Libyian border. Siwa was made famous by Alexander The Great, as in 331 B.C. he visited the Temple of Amun to ask the Gods if he was the son of Zeus. Surprisingly they said "Yes". |

Walking around below the Old Fortress is amazing, the freaky thing is that people still live there in those old house. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

There are only a few budget hotels within Siwa. Hopefully it will remain that way. But we shall see. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
